Europe can’t rely on the strength of the transatlantic relationship to help contain Russia’s threat – it must lead from the front and be the true force of support that Ukraine needs. Not just for Ukraine’s sake, but for a free and sovereign Europe.

In 2014 Dutch scientists left a hamster wheel outside, to see if wild animals would use it like their domesticated counterparts. The answer: hell yes! 734 visits from wild mice - plus rats, shrews, slugs ("running" being subjective here) & even frogs and snails. The apparent reason: fun. Just fun.

Can you “Bluesky” your dinner in the same way you’d Instagram it, I wonder? Soup midway between Tafelspitz, shchi, tattie soup and Vietnamese beef broth, and the meat stayed meltingly tender because I finally mastered the very low simmer. The kohlrabi is sweet like a neep after frost. 😋

This is my great-uncle and his wife, in the Vienna Woods, 1937. Notice the Dirndl, and his blonde hair. They considered themselves 100% Viennese. By 1941 none of my grandfather's family was left, alive, in Vienna. If you saw Elon's salute and thought, "that won't affect me," you're wrong.
