In the autumn of 2023 I gathered conkers with my kids at Castle Archdale forest park and carefully placed them in food bags of compost in the fridge over the winter. We planted 24 of them out in pots last spring where they survived outside rain, hail, snow and the high winds of storm Éowyn. 🌳
