So glad when people complain about unmasked healthcare workers spreading diseases. Those patients are ill but they use all their energy fighting because they know people are being killed. I‘ve complained so I know exactly what the punishment is like for it from staff. Just me with no advocates.

I use an AirSpot to check the CO2 level in my flat or wherever I am. They’re tiny. I have it on a keyring. If the CO2 is high and other people are or were recently in a room, airborne disease risk is high. High CO2 affects concentration and makes you sleepy too. Open windows to get the CO2 down.

The Spanish Ventilation Guidelines indicate 'a CO₂ concentration greater than 800-1000 ppm could be an indicator of ventilation deficient premises' #CareForTheAirWeShare #AirSpot airspothealth.myshopify.com/a/blog/spani...

Sydney Metro Air Quality better than the trains and much much better than the busses. Mask to cough ratio 2 to 7 (lady sat next to me has a mask on too 😷) #CareForTheAirWeShare #AirSpot #COVIDisNotOver #COVIDisAirborne

French Ventilation Regulations: airspothealth.myshopify.com/a/blog/frenc... A concentration of less than 800ppm CO2 reflects satisfactory air renewal in occupied premises. A CO2 concentration above 1500ppm indicates insufficient air renewal. #CleanTheAirWeShare

Clinical workplace today. I keep telling the managers to upgrade the ventilation and have put it on the map to warn others. Had a quick lunch break (you can see it on the graph) where I went outside and took my N95 off. #COVIDisNotOver #AirSpot #CareForTheAirWeShare

Physical fitness in previously healthy adults 3.6 times worse in those infected with #COVID19 airspothealth.myshopify.com/a/blog/covid...

Why are people putting their lives at unnecessary risk? Why are doctors and nurses working in poorly ventilated hospitals without wearing masks? #COVIDisAirborne #MaskUp airspothealth.myshopify.com/a/blog/why-a...

I've been using co2 monitors since I learned about them in 2021. Always thought it would catch on. Would still love to see more general attention / awareness of air quality and the tools available to assess it. People rarely understand what the heck it is I'm doing with it & why.

Check out this brilliant video explainer from Bristol University which illustrates how (as well as high CO2 levels often indicating poor ventilation and higher COVID risk environment) high CO2 levels also increase the lifetime of the virus in the air. airspothealth.myshopify.com/a/blog/how-c...

The Paris COVID Olympics - how many cases were there? Inadequate measures instilled at the Paris Olympics 2024 especially around the Olympic village were met with numerous cases of COVID being picked up in testing. #COVIDisAirborne #AirSpot airspothealth.myshopify.com/a/blog/the-p...

SARS-CoV-2 detection in aerosol from community indoor environments. The highest positivity rates were observed in hospitals (16.2 %), elderly care homes (15.3 %), and primary care centres (12.7 %). #AirSpot #COVIDisAirborne airspothealth.myshopify.com/a/blog/sars-...

Netherlands - Optimal Ventilation in Schools provides a CO2 level below 800ppm. #AirSpot #CleanAirClassrooms airspothealth.myshopify.com/a/blog/nethe...

Every AirSpot device comes with a its own adhesive stand - designed to be orientated in multiple configurations and great for your car dashboard. Put it close to the USB charger and you can keep it charged every time you take for a spin. #AirSpot #CleanIndoorAir

Does anyone know how and if CO2-Sensors compensate for air pressure (the Aranet4 has a pressure sensor included, most others don't but maybe the CO2 sensor already measures it too indirectly?) @aranethome.bsky.social @normundsbergs.bsky.social @airspotrob.bsky.social

Without ventilation, CO2 levels in cars can get very high fast — even exceeding 5000 ppm. This can lead to drowsiness, cause driver impairment and may represent a high viral transmission risk environment. Check out this great post from Joey Fox. airspothealth.myshopify.com/a/blog/clean...

Testing mobile air purifiers in a school classroom: Reducing the airborne transmission risk for #SARS-CoV-2 Staying for two hours in a closed room with a highly infective person, we estimate that the inhaled dose is reduced by a factor of six. #AirSpot airspothealth.myshopify.com/a/blog/testi...

Anika Wells downplayed rising COVID-19 deaths in aged care, blaming community spread and relaxed lockdowns, shifting focus to residents’ preferences rather than government responsibility.🤦‍♂️

The CO2 readings in this class (big space, approx 20 people) are between 800 and 900. Plus N95 masks plus air purifier. Very happy to have my little @AirSpot monitor

Seeing the Yayoi Kusuma exhibition again at the NGV this morning, and this time I've got my #Airspot CO2 monitor with me. Readings consistently 1000. Quite disappointing, I expected better in a gallery. Mind you for a ticketed event, they're sure packing the crowds in.

Taiwan - Public Health recommends indoor CO2 levels be kept below 800ppm to reduce infection. #CleanIndoorAir #AirSpot airspothealth.myshopify.com/a/blog/taiwa...

Today my submission for the 6th Workplace and Indoor Aerosols Conferene (WIAC) about the IndoorCO2map.com project has been accepted! I am delighted about the chance to present this project at such an occasion, and humbled to have been selected for an oral presentation (poster session is the default)

AirSpot devices are designed to go with you however you want! Attach them to your wrist, to your phone or attach as a handy keyring. #CareForTheAirWeShare #COVIDisNotOver

Almost a green day. The small red spikes on left when walking through gym yo get to gym balcony. The bigger red spikes when I fell asleep on the couch and the AirSpot was on my wrist close to my mouth. Clean air can be done and then #COVID can be over. #CleanIndoorAir #AirSpot

’Unacceptable’: Doctors raise alarm as COVID runs rampant in Aussie aged care facilities. "The COVID death rate of our elderly in residential care is double that of the pandemic peak. Experts are blaming poor vaccination rates." @AnikaWells @healthgovau Source: archive.md/k2w7n

DYK? Since July 2022, the lag between COVID-19 symptom onset and a positive PCR test is 4.5-6.5 days. You might test positive earlier than 5 days after symptom onset, but it can be up to one week. That's PCR--with RATs you're even less likely to test positive within the first 5 days of symptoms.
