I read my first Silvia Moreno-Garcia book the other day, and why did no one tell me to read them sooner??? It was fantastic, and I’ve already started The Daughter of Doctor Moreau #BookSky

Sometimes I see all my favourite authors doing book tours in the US and wish I lived there, then I remember ~everything~ and I’m very happy I don’t

Why the hell do I read so much when I have things to do but I barely touch a book when I have nothing??

I finished my masters degree!!!! Everyone feel free to recommend books again. No need to steal my phone.

Can everyone stop recommending books for like three days? And maybe also stop posting? Or maybe steal my phone? And somehow block all websites that aren’t related to my dissertation from my laptop? Thank you

Why did no one tell me that the “read out loud” thing in word makes it waaaaaay easier to catch your mistakes? Why did you all let me suffer???? And why did I only find out 4 days before I finish my masters degree???

This might honestly be the best thing I own

Me: I really need to finish writing and editing my dissertation, it’s due on Friday Also me the second someone suggests doing something else: Ooh that sounds fun, let’s go

I've gotten this question more than once, so I'm going to answer it with a thread. I'm linking a video I did recently where I'm "arguing" with an #SJM supporter. All her issues were covered in the video, but TL;DW: see thread. #sarahjmaas #acotar #tog #crescentcity #ick www.tiktok.com/t/ZT2johc6J/

My January reads:

I deleted tiktok and thought that would stop my scrolling but instead I’ve start scrolling on Libby I think this is more dangerous. My TBR is too long already #booksky

mutual aid request 🚨 I feel really shitty asking for financial help especially since everyone is going through it right now but I’m currently unemployed after 6 months of job searching still and I have a student loan repayment coming up that I cannot pay so anything helps. thx❤️

did i make a book post dedicated to my favourite crisps? yes. yes i did

For some reason my internal monologue has been south african or australian lately I grew up in Scotand and now live in NZ. WTF

Had to share this here to. The vibes I bring to the function:

I joined a couple of nonfiction book challenges on storygraph and this bonus prompt is really funny to me. I most read books written by women, and when I say mostly I do mean almost entirely. But does anyone have any nonfiction books written by non-binary authors?

I’ve joined like 6 book challenges on storygraph and I want to complete them all right now. Should I just do a new challenge every month?

I think text convos in romance books might be one of my favourite things

To everyone who has ever apologised to me for getting a conversation off topic: It’s not your fault. I just started a section on escapism for my thesis, and now I’m talking about true crime? I didn’t mean to do that. Kind works though.

I am so tired but I need to keep typing 😭

A fantastic book for current times: Vampire and human on the run from government agents. There’s romance, mysteries and government corruption. What’s not to love? (Well obviously corruption isn’t great but the book is!)

Deleted my TikTok account 🎉🎉

So, I’m not in the US but I’m planning to delete tiktok. That second paragraph is bad vibes

I accidentally left my headphones at my parents house. Didn’t realise until I checked my hand luggage at their airport

Started a new book and it has a content warning for — Blood (non-sexual) And if that doesn’t sum up what I read, I don’t know what does

Why do I always have a slight moment of panic when some replies to me after I ask for help?

My stove is broken but I want pasta 😭

My *very clever* cat is hiding

Why don’t pretty covers much the book content?? It’s like men on tinder with dogs, they trick me

Honestly, fictional women are just more human than fictional men in romance books. Even when they are doing bad things fictional men are just too perfect, but the women actually have flaws.

If I’m reading a novella and it ends up being 200 pages, it feels too long and I like it less than if it was just called a short book

I overestimated myself and Libby won’t stop reminding me

does anyone else sometimes get the urge to message old group chats even though you don’t really talk to anyone in them anymore?

Damn, she was defending and fully aware. Got blocked for asking her about it
