I want to do a podcast where we walk the streets of worcester and ask random people who their city councilor or school committee members are and what issues they care about in the city.

I would like to remind the Irish diaspora in Worcester that abstentionism has a long history in Irish republicanism. (I’m not saying don’t debate its effectiveness, lord knows they do, but at least acknowledge that it’s a part of our history of protest.) www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

I’m glad this week is February vacation because there’s no way the kids could have had school.

Great article by @aislinn.bsky.social Can't believe WPS elementary schools don't have libraries... but somehow WPS can pay millions each year to edtech companies instead of investing more in teachers... hoping for WPS to become evidence-based under Monarrez www.worcestersucks.email/p/a-road-map...

Excellent article that makes this excellent point, among many: “One way Worcester can help students be better readers is to put libraries back in the elementary schools.” via @aislinn.bsky.social #MAedu open.substack.com/pub/billshan...
