I am not sure that you can overstate the economic impact of these firings. The loss of a dozen full-time year-round jobs in rural Idaho towns can destroy the economic engine. Challis, Salmon, Stanley, and McCall are a few communities in the southern half of the state that I'm sure are reeling.
