OMG y'all! We disassembled the broken arbor, and hauled the octopus grapevine (which had become a bird habitat, thus we didn't want to destroy it) to the back of the yard rather than blocking our walkway access. It looks like a spooky elder beast that is actually a friendly home for little birds!

I have 3 big stress events looming, and I know I won't really feel better until I am past those. Of course, after those pass, there will likely be more...

Have recently had more crappy feeling days than good days. But today is a good day so far health-wise, save for some bruising or something I can't account for. Once again am going to try to strike the balance between doing Useful Things, & self-care. Also, missed meditation 3x this week. Not Good.

Feel crappy today. Guess I got over-confident & overdid it the past 2 days. Figures. Covid test negative at least. Will take it easy today, do some tasks if I feel up to it, but not push myself. Hopefully the horde will let me get some rest.

Made another attempt at cleaning the semi-destroyed downstairs room, which was supposed to be my study, but became a feral cat facility. This spring I'll get them a window door, and may have to pay someone professional to clean it. Like serious gardening, I haven't the skills or physical strength.

Fairly good day in my little world. Which translates into: no pain, got stuff done, the animal messes didn't annoy me as much, had a chance to sit down and do some relaxation reading, it was sunny & sort of warm, & I was having a pretty good hair day.

I won’t stop posting this.

Wracked my brain trying to recall a song that I could only remember snippets of. Google was utterly useless, but DuckDuckGo pulled it right up! The song, by the way, is "Lullaby" by Judy Henske & Jerry Yester. www.youtube.com/watch?v=RtiM...

Library got Tidal Creatures by @seananmcguire.bsky.social in, so I know what my rainy day reading will be!

Having another weirdly disconnected day. Have tried to do a little gardening prep, which centers me a bit. But it's not going much of anywhere. Like, sometimes I can do that "chunking" thing of breaking big tasks down into a series of small ones. But today it all seems too large & overwhelming.

Please. Do this for me.

For what are likely complex psychological reasons, I have recently been rewatching Angel as I wake up in the morning. This morning I saw s2, ep2, The Hyperion, in which a paranoia demon takes over a hotel, & feeds on fears. It touches a lot on racism, the "red scare," homophobia, etc. Good episode.

Do you have republican reps? Now is the time to call. They only need to flip 3 to keep Musk out of your most sensitive data. Right now he may have access not only to your SSN and tax records, but also potentially whatever bank accounts you use to pay taxes/receive refunds.

In Egyptian history the noses of the statues of pharaohs or others who fell out of favor were obliterated to destroy their identities and legacies. Just sayin'.

After a restful two year hiatus, Lake Backyard has returned. Setting up pump #2...

Tired now. Bed a little early because tomorrow looks to be a busy, possibly fucked up day.
