No dinner for me tonight. I can’t get up, a baby is sleeping on me.

I've kept a list of all the things I thought "oooh I could buy that" since December and I just totaled it up. It's a little under $1200. Can't decide if I feel more "Wow! I've saved $1200 on pointless things" or "...god I'm a cheap-ass bitch, I could get myself SO MUCH STUFF for relatively cheap."

Sister is out of town for the week and Mr. Jinx is sleeping on her bed because he misses her ❤️

DEEP into Greek mythology and then straight into 80s fantasy and sci-fi novels. No, not as a teen. As a child. L'il me brought Mercedes Lackey and Xanth and Robert Asprin to the playground to read by myself, as I do not care for Games or Outdoors.

Sometimes Jinx likes to climb into my lap and inform me that he’s baby

Hahahahaha I solved a problem at work that the engineers couldn’t figure out. The answer is always in a reddit thread or a stackoverflow thread from 10 years ago. every time!

Hey fuck you Apple for auto turning on “Apple intelligence” on my iPad. I will find a way to turn this off EVERY TIME no matter how hard you try to hide it.

Also in tears this morning because Garbanzo the cat wanted pets today

not the Eagles trying to get me to root for them (emotionally; I'm still not gonna watch fucking football, blehhhhhhhh, boring, blehhhhhh) by refusing to go to the whitehouse AGAIN. I hope all the philly fans throw batteries at politicians. #uspoli

Genuinely on tenterhooks reading this book about the Brooklyn bridge, wondering if they will replace the head engineer who designed and built it and became horribly ill doing so with only months left before it’s finished. Courtroom drama!!!

I read all three of these books and guess what. Three more books have come in at the same time. is my libby cursed.

through painful trial and error I have learned that I can't be trusted to count rows when knitting. I don't have the right size row counter I usually use, so for what I'm knitting now I'm just putting a removable stitch marker at the start of every odd-numbered row.

One of my hand knits (the Brooklyn Raglan, which I loooove) blocked out ludicrously too big so one of my weekend projects was to shrink it on purpose. Soaked it in hot water and threw it in a dryer in a laundry bag for 15 minutes and it fits great and didn’t felt! (Which /felt/ great 🥁🛎️)

Using the barbell rack* for squats and deadlifts makes me feel like the strongest person alive *with no weight on it lol, just the bar

I grew up with Third Rock from the Sun so I love John Lithgow but I do also always assume he’s a bad guy in every movie

sometimes my cat is like "okay you are done knitting. both your hands are for petting me right now" and you simply can't argue with 15 pounds of determined cat.

it is two whole degrees above freezing!!!!! I'm about to go for a run OUTSIDE. remember outside?!?
