My favorite dumb teacher way of addressing profanity is when a kid says "Jesus Christ" as a swear I say, "No, that's [whoever else is nearby], but I understand your confusion."

There's a park by the school where I take my photography classes, which are 7-12. After being driven inside by cold last week, my Jr. High class asked to try again today by mimicking the seagulls from Finding Nemo. The whole room was saying, "Park. Park. Park. Park. Park." How could I refuse.

This is why I'm leaning into saying the pledge of allegiance in my classroom every morning. I mean, it's required by law where I live, but I've gotten more enthusiastic in the last month, not less. It's an act of defiance. I don't accept that these people are the essence of America.

This is a good time to remind everyone that this administration hasn't done anything for anyone. It has literally only taken away things we've already paid for and fired and sued people. Oh and the quid pro quo with Adams. That's the extent of what they have done. Kinda nuts.
