Beautiful service today at St Andrew's in Kentish Town for Soul Saturday, when Orthodox commemorate the departed as we approach Great Lent. Beautiful singing today. Epistle was from 1 Thessalonians 4 'Who Will Participate in Christ's Return ' and the Gospel was from Luke 21 'Signs of the End'.

Orthros and Divine Liturgy this morning at St Andrew's cathedral in Kentish Town. Epistle was from Hebrews, Gospel was John 10 'The Good Shepherd '. Catechesis afterwards with a Russian Orthodox priest who grew up in Soviet times. Celebrating St Gregory. #greekorthodox #orthodoxchristian

This evening we celebrated the Paraklesis for St Seraphim of Sarov. It was an hour long service at St Andrew's in Kentish Town with Fr. Kristian. Very uplifting... and another piece of delicious 'vasilopita' for me to take home! #greekorthodox

Very best wishes to you all for 2025. This afternoon saw the cutting of the 'vasilopita', and Great Vespers being celebrated at the Archdiocesan Chapel near Paddington. Very busy= slightly crap photos, but hopefully you can get a glimpse of the beautiful icons.

Holy Unction this evening at St Sophia in Bayswater with Archbishop Nikitas. Cathedral was almost full. Lots of readings followed by the anointing of the people with oil. #greekorthodox
