Lately, I’ve seen people get caught up in Trump and Musk’s trolling, wasting energy on culture war distractions. They thrive on outrage, but we need to focus on what matters: protecting our institutions and building a strong, united people’s movement. Let’s keep our eyes on the prize.

Social media right now is a game of pick your favorite (or least bad) corporate autocracy. Blue Sky has the opportunity to usher us into a new paradigm of media and social sense making, if they stick to their mission. I hope management considers spinning off a nonprofit to govern ATproto.

Since writing began, creating text took far more effort than consuming it. As technology advanced, this gap closed. Now, with AI, the scales have flipped—creating content is often faster and easier than consuming it.

None of the existing candidates "seems up to reinvigorating the DNC to make it central to the party’s — and democracy’s — revival. If the DNC wants someone ...to shake up the party— then Wisconsin chair @benwikler.bsky.social is the obvious choice." www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/202...
