Here are my thoughts on Generative AI as it pertains to the software development industry. (Sorry for the exclusivity of the text embedded in an image. I'll add the text in a 🧵.)

@fito.codegardener.com and I will be talking about how to identify and remove complexity in your software at Sin City Ruby on April 10-11 in, where else but, sunny Las Vegas. Want to hang out before then? Join us and all the Sin City speakers for Sinful Sunday! www.sincityruby.com/sinful-sunda...

We had a great time at #SFRuby meetup yesterday! Thank you to our speakers @jasonswett.bsky.social Bart Agapinan @camertron.bsky.social and Alex Rodionov, Productboard for hosting and to everyone for joining! I’ll upload the recording soon.

What a great conference! Can’t wait for Rails Conf!

An early holiday gift from Ruby Central. 🎁 We can't wait to see you at RailsConf 2025. ✨

It was my honor and pleasure to welcome everyone to Chicago for the conference. May the fail whale forever flail.

Me too! I'm totally a child of the 1980s!

Have you had enough Hexagonal Architecture yet? No? Well, have I got a podcast for you! In this episode, me and @fito.codegardener.com talk about our early experiences using the Ports & Adapters pattern with Rails. Let us know your thoughts!

Everybody wants to go fast so badly that they end up going slow badly. Many more, much smaller steps. #MMMSS #ForestAndDesert

Would you prefer your code to be abstract or DRY?

So DRY It Chafes - Episode 2 of The Code Gardener podcast is now up! In it we talk about what we're thankful for this year, then discus why DRY is the worst programming advice ever. Don't believe us? Give a listen...

And, now available on Spotify! open.spotify.com/show/0izx3az...

I found as many Ruby and Rails centric/adjacent podcasters as I could. But, I'm sure I missed some folks. If you know of any that aren't in the list, please send 'em my way.

So, Fito & I have a new podcast called The Code Gardener. One of the reasons we finally started one is that you must be in any Starter Packs that you create. And, I created a pack for Ruby and Rails centric/adjacent podcasters. So, I can't not have one, too...
