A good day. I & friend exhibited a Thomas themed model railway at Sandbach Transport Festival. Even the youngest have a go. A day of happy kids and their parents, fun, laughter, talking, crashes, and tales of Sodor. Not seen the news. Doing the same tmr & my daughter is doing the London Marathon!

Dog walk this morning and found a cache of chocolate eggs. + clue to next cache. A while later met mum and 2 daughters on Easter egg hunt. Gave the girls an extra clue and off they raced. Some mums really do go the extra mile, literally. I'd have stuck to my own garden. Happy Easter.

Just watched The Return with Ralph Fiennes and Juliette Binoche. Great film, beautifully made and the leads are superb. Fiennes is truly believable as Odysseus.

Neighbour gave me a copy of yesterday's Daily Fail. 6 pages in, I'm ready to gouge my eyes out! Diabolical dross and Bojo on cheese. Only fit for recycling. Normally I'd keep it to cover the tops of kitchen cupboards. But what if someone finds out? Oh the ignominy!!!

Comes to something when one is cheered by seeing more than 1 butterfly. I've seen 6 on my dog walk. 2 speckled wood. 1 orange tip 2 large white 1 small white Also, honeybees, bumblebees, and hoverflies. Spotting these contributes to mindfulness. This is good. However, one is so aware of loss.

It would appear the mobile phone will kill the planet. All those photos, videos, and dross one collects on the phone, stores on the cloud, and use data centres. These use water and energy. That starves the environment. The planet becomes inhospitable to life. Boycott Amazon, Google and Microsoft.
