Gillian and I walked a short stretch of the River Frome Nr Maiden Newton a few days ago and sat by the river with a picnic lunch. It was a lovely spot and where we saw this Coal Tit, Grey Wagtail and Long-tailed Tit. #UKbirding #UKwildlife #Dorsetbirds @dorsetbirdclub.bsky.social

A trip down to Seaton Marshes today with a friend, on a cold day that threatened rain. Photos of Curlew, Greenshank, Kestrel and Little Grebe. Marsh Harrier, Bullfinch, Grey Heron, Redshank, Lapwing, BTG, Shellduck, Teal, Wigeon, Little Egret seen and Green Woodpecker heard. #UKbirding #Birds

Did a 3.5 mile walk of the paths adjacent to car park at Maiden Castle with Gillian yesterday. 40 Lapwing best. Photos below of Lapwing, Meadow Pipit, Skylark and Stonechat. Buzzard put up approx. 100 finch size birds from Sunflower field. #UKbirding #Dorsetbirds @dorsetbirdclub.bsky.social

Westhay Moor on the Somerset Levels today in the mist and gloom (ocassional good light). Buzzard, Chiffchaff, Great Egret and Redwing below. Marsh Harriers 4/5, Cattle Egret 20 Water Rail 2 also seen. Many Buzzards seen in vicinity worming. #UKbirding #Somersetbirds #Somersetwildlifetrust
