#Jupiter on Thursday 16 January at 20:30 UT. The Great Red Spot is leaving lots of turbulence in its wake this year.

A quick 90 second look at #Mars on Thursday 16 January at 20:45 UT, before clouds appeared. The pale patch top right is the volcano Elysium Mons, discovered in 1972 by the Mariner 9 probe. With modern camera technology it's easily seen from the Earth.

It seems the Switch 2 is a hand-held console with a screen and controllers, and plays Nintendo games. Thanks Nintendo. Full of surprises as always.

I took a look at our neighbours #Mars and #Venus this evening, but imaging conditions were very poor.

Some interesting clouds tonight.

Frost today.

The #Moon tonight. No telescope - just a 400mm camera lens.

Around 28 years ago I worked on a research project relating to using VR to visualise crime evidence. We worked with the Greater Manchester Police and a delegation from the House of Lords visited us to discuss the work and consider legal implications. Everything comes around if you wait long enough.

Every Videogame From 1954. Happy Holidays!

I am planning a trip to #Belize in 2025 and have put together a packed itinerary of forests, beaches and Mayan ruins. Hoping to photograph some exotic wildlife if possible.

Free on the Epic Games Store today - the last published game I worked on. We spent many years developing a new engine for this game.

A lovely focus on the soundtrack to the worlds we create. #StarCitizen

Impressed by the macro performance of my new Tamron lens, tested here at 50mm.

I invested in a 400mm camera lens - hoping to put it to good use on an upcoming trip to Belize. I found a nearby sheep to test it on.
