As much as I'd like to flee twitXter, the amount of activity around here is an order of magnitude lower. It's hard to justify cross-posting, even let alone abandoning the twit. Prove me wrong, blue sky users!

leading up to the launch date there's a small boost in traffic... But it's all bots:

The game goes live today, in about 2 hours! store.steampowered.com/app/3177810/...

Built in feedback option for the game = free quality control?

So, curators. Are they any good? Seems about half don't even bother to claim the free game they've been gifted...

I made a trailer for my game - in my game (sounds trivial, but actually...) Found a reason to like X.com better: longer allowed videos. So for now, just a link: x.com/AlanRDevelop...

For better or worse, most of the achievement descriptions in my game Alien Video Game Scientist are jokes. Make that "jokes".

For anybody wondering, this is the kind of stuff that steam reviews when you submit your first build, before letting you release your game on steam. As you might expect, it's all minor checkbox stuff, not "is your game trash".

I'm trying to keep all written text/instructions in-game and even maintaining the fiction that it's actually part of the game world, like the player would actually visit the "library of science", speed-running wing to look up something.

So here's my personal experience with Kickstarter: the number shown as "pledged" is quite a bit smaller than what you actually get, and not just for fees; check out this screenshot of my actual deposit.

SO the main point of this account is to keep track of what's up with my first game, which is launching on steam this Dec 4th: store.steampowered.com/app/3177810/...

Not loving what's been going on over at TwittXer for a while, I thought I'd cross post my Game DevLog here as well.
