I present to you the leader of the free world - Donald Trump... Trump says Israel and Iran ‘don’t know what the fuck they’re doing’ It's not even AI - this is real WTAF

Rule 1: Israel is never the aggressor. If Israel attacks someone it’s either a response to an aggression that happened in the past, or a preemptive attack to thwart an imminent aggression in the future !!!

Nuclear is not the answer and spending tens of billions on Sizewell is a terrible waste of money. Nukes are always late and over budget - and make the most expensive electricity we’ve ever known. If we want to get bills down then nuclear is the last thing we need. 1/6

If the hard and far right need to blame anyone for “two-tier” policing, they need only look to themselves and the invidious position in which they’ve put officers. My latest, on Liverpool open.substack.com/pub/goodalla...

Nails it - Clegg and Cameron have a lot to answer for 👇

It’s absolutely insane that hundreds of lawyers and judges (829 to be exact) need to write to Starmer to tell him, a humanitarian lawyer by trade, of his basic duties under humanitarian law. —> lawyersletter.uk

This (like the @samfr.bsky.social piece it links to) is v.good. For me, the centre-right's problem is how to tackle economic stagnation without alienating its traditional class base.

Watch this!!!!

Perhaps even interview an expert or two ??

A brilliant and moving article from @katejarmstrong.bsky.social on the impact of experiencing an accident in the mountains, complete with both insightful personal experience and advice for those going through the same things.

Always follow your doctors advice and get checked for prostrate cancer yearly.

La Veudale ⛷️🇨🇭 last day for me until November :(

5 weeks to go before we hit the magic date in Daniel Hannan's fever dream post-Brexit Britain paradise. If you haven't read his article before, you must! In the 9 years since the referendum, it has never been bettered. Wrongness so dense, it's formed a black hole. www.reaction.life/p/britain-lo...

Whoever is "advising" starmer needs to go sooner not later !

My grandmas were immigrants, my mum & sisters in law are immigrants; my sister & nephews are migrants. My kids study maths, Shakespeare, dance, act & score tries alongside the kids of immigrants. My dad’s life was saved by immigrants. Immigrants have made us richer, wiser, stronger Win the fight

Good thread - pretty much nails how pathetic starmer et. al are

Beggars belief these are the headlines the Labour Party generates in 2025. Still can't quite believe Sarmer would have us believe that care workers from abroad could ever be described as the “squalid” result of a “failed experiment”. But here we are - appallingly.

Near Goathland, one of several raptor persecution hotspots in this so-called National Park dominated by driven grouse moors. #RaptorResearch #WildlifeCrime #UKBirding raptorpersecutionuk.org/2025/05/13/p...

It can make you feel like you’re going mad. How phony and superficial it all is. How we’re a year and a half into history’s first live-streamed genocide and our whole society is acting like everything’s peachy. www.caitlinjohnst.one/p/it-is-frea...

Keir Starmer denies pushing anti-migrant policies in order to chase Reform, saying that "I'm doing this because it is right, because it is fair and because it is what I believe". A reminder of what he said he believed when he was running for Labour leader.

I think we know the answer to both of these questions !

Have just seen a take that Faragism will unravel because it won't work, and the disaster will be seen for what it is and people will voted out. Maybe, but that's like saying that Brexit will unravel because it won't work and the disaster will be seen for what it is and people will vote to reverse.

Totally agree, Starmer is following the faragists into the gutter rather than address the issues in a positive manner. Stop the boats - open a reception centre in Calais for asylum seekers job done !

Print this out and frame it. If Labour lose in 2029, it will be because of what they decided to do and not do. You won't be able to blame it on the media, or on any other external factor. And an unforgivable 2029 loss that lets in the Far Right will end Labour *forever* as a party of government.

Remember to vote in the local elections today. Enter your postcode for tactical voting advice. Reform want council seats to help them at the next general election. #StopTrumpism #StopMusk stopreformuk.vote

A post exploring the futility of stock market forecasts cjpeconomics.substack.com/p/how-to-for...

Wtf is wrong with these barbarians? When ISIS, the Taliban, Boko Haram or extremist Islamists do this, the 🌍 condemns it outright. When the most highly trained military in the Middle East target, murder, take hostage and execute medical and volunteer workers, deathly silence. Hypocrisy 🤬🤬🤬

Eye-opening graph. The biggest wildfire incidents in the UK don't occur when it's hottest, in high summer: they take place in April - *when landowners set fire to their grouse moors & lose control of burns.* Time to ban moorland burning. Source: www.iucn-uk-peatlandprogramme.org/sites/defaul...

Good point on where Labour’s vote has actually gone

Great thread 👇

Very good article by Posen

"TRUMP is embarking on the economic equivalent of the Vietnam War—a war of choice that will soon result in a quagmire, undermining faith at home and abroad in both the trustworthiness and the competence of the USA and we know how that turned out" Spot on www.foreignaffairs.com/united-state...

Never get bored with that view ⛷️🇫🇷

Populism always begins with a vision for the "common man" standing up against the "elites" and ends with dictators taxing penguins.

Yes there's the strong temptation to ascribe Trump’s actions to market manipulation - but as I keep saying - we cannot rule out the possibility that he is just an incredibly stupid and incompetent individual atop an administration made up of absolute clowns.

Excellent summary of where we are ....

Deranged. Will secure the collapse of a significant part of the UK university system, at a time when there is a lot of money to be made out of it, for no political return. If the case is explained properly most will not mind foreign students coming.

You cannot make this shit up

Morons. There’s no other lever to reliably pull to undo the increase in trade barriers with the US.

Labour are now fully signed up to the lie that Brexit enabled Britain to get better treatment during Trump's tariff frenzy. Indeed, they're painting it as a "Brexit dividend". Sad, depressing and infuriating in equal measures! www.theguardian.com/us-news/live...

Surely not... www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

It's amazing that stories are STILL coming out claiming that Starmer's charm offensive reduced Trump's tariffs. That's just not true. The SAME simplistic formula was used for EVERY country hit by tariffs. Each country's tariff was the higher of half the number spat out by the formula, or 10%.

This is what you call two different readouts of the same meeting. Go Denmark, Go Greenland!
