I'll be the first to admit that the Dreadnaughts were just an excuse to include giant mechs in my story. Using video games (namely, RPG games) as a naming convention was my idea though: The Final Fantasy, the Breath of Fire, the Wild Arms, the Shin Megami, the Okami ... the Okage will appear later.

Oof. Ate too much. Pepperoni-lovers pan pizza from Pizza Hut ... but boy was it exactly what I wanted for dinner.

Working to the sequel to this at the moment. You can tell Teria's in fight mode because she's all fluffy, like a cat with her hackles raised. The red rune shows that One has, as the title suggests, lost control. Don't worry, though; Teria's got the situation well in hand. (art by Nivea Toliver, btw)

If I were a Dreamer, I'd be targeting ... let's just say certain public figures who deserve a little come-uppance with low-key pranks. Pies to the face, fresh paint on chairs, shoe-laces tied together ... A bucket of slime when they say 'I don't know' on live television.

So many movies, yet nothing to watch. So many games, yet nothing to play. So many books, yet nothing to read. Is there a name for what's wrong with me?

The United States does still exist in a Dreamers Knight as Unitas. After the Devastation, the remnants collect along the Eastern seaboard and try to rebuild. The Red Legion forces them north until all that remains is in the New England area, leaving Unitas between them and the Palais Delacon.

I need to stop worrying about this world and focus on my own. From now on, I'm letting who or whatever made this universe sort out their own problems; I've got plenty to deal with in Universe C-32 (if you happen to be curious, the Elsewhere's system for labeling alternate universe puts us as W-83).

I'd like to think Vance not even being visible is intentional.

I've got an idea for a new story: 'Person of Interest', a reference to the Elsewhere's People of Interest list (its a list of norms and nixils who have proven particularly annoying), for Dreamers needing stress relief have appropriate targets. I'll let you guess which president is gonna be the POI.

The Red Legion is a post-Devastation faction that is in essence what you get when a bunch of raider groups fight and one comes out on top. Their territory stops just short of the Midwest and stretches to the Eastern seaboard. They are led by the Red Queen and see all other groups as potential prey.

There's nothing wrong with fanfiction. I've written a few, and I actually consider them canon with the Elsewhere novels even if I can't directly reference some parts of them for copyright reasons (and why a certain pun-loving skeleton is sometimes references as Garamond in the main books).

I'm sorry, I'm really trying to avoid posting political stuff here. I'm a fantasy author, after all; what's reality to me? Still, when the Felon-Elect claims that he's had the best first month in presidential history, I have to ask: by what metric? Most bad decisions? Most blatant corruption?🙄

I admit I'm a sucker for new flavors of snacks and drinks ... except for citrus. Not a big fan of orange, lime, or lemon unless I specifically pick up Limeade, Lemonade, or Orange Juice. That said, the new Doctor Pepper flavor is pretty awesome.

I wish I had more control over my creative bursts. Sometimes I can just sit down and write write write and others just the thought of holding a pen is too much. I know, I know; I need more self-control.

Doing some background work into the animosity between Longshore and Ronisgald. As far as I know, the beastfolk and the 'humans' of Vinta have always had some animosity for each other, but I'm hoping to find some inciting event to explain it.

I'm bored. How about some goofy on-the-spot poetry? Feel free to jump in. *ahem* This tale begins with a lady named Sue With long hair of red and two eyes of blue She woke one morning with a need for fruit but in haste left home in her birthday suit

Honest Talk; I've published ten books, but have no fanbase. I've never received a single bit of fan mail, and almost no reviews whatsoever. I know it's on me; I don't know how to advertise and am not good at pushing. Thing is, I still keep writing. I started this story, and I will see it finished.

Hey, I found an old gif of Trump and Musk together. A pox on the phony king of America!

A thoughtful and beautiful Aloft review by Lyssa Greywood for ScreenHype, check it out below! ✨ 👇 www.screenhype.co.uk/aloft-review...

I've been toying with a different kind of project lately; a more realistic fiction book involving a guy moving out to a farm and eventually getting afoul of ICE after helping an immigrant family. Got a solid outline, but I'm not sure how I'll do writing realistic after so much fantasy.

A Dreamer's role is not to make decisions for the mains. We present the options, nudge them into making the right choices, but at the end of the day the mains still have to choose between the wooden ladle and the golden ladle. It still pisses me off when they choose the golden ladle though.

Musk is likely to end up getting more government funding after he carelessly slashes funding for everything but his own projects. Some are denying this on the basis he's already rich; why would he want more? What could he possibly do with it? I think we all know what he wants to do with it.

Part of the reason I'm enjoying Aloft so much is that it reminds me of the Outer Realm. There's nothing like finding yourself a little floating island and spending a few hours watching the other islands and clouds slowly fly through the sky. (cover art by Nivea Toliver, who is amazing btw)

Sadly underrated show. Looking forward to the upcoming book though.

Watching the Music Man. Always thought it would be a neat superpower to make people burst into musical numbers. Think there was a villain like that in Batman: Brave and the Bold ... Music Maestro or something? Oh well. Off to work!

Shout out to everyone else who makes a point to buy one heart-shaped pack of chocolates even though we're single. After all, loving oneself is important, yeah? Anyway, happy Valentine's Day, all! (Thanks to PlushPanther on Etsy for the ghosties)

Debating splitting up the current book I'm on. Having Teria dive into Narrator Number One's psyche in his current state Silent Hill-style is gonna be a big deal, so I don't wanna rush it.

Poking around with the Meruna campaign tonight for Dnd or similar systems. Started off as an idea for a Stardew Valley mod, and now it's on my quick list for a novel. I'd still really like to run it as a campaign though.
