I asked Ruby how she wanted the wreath to look. She said, “Just spruce it up a bit!” 😜 😂 😝

Draw something. Sew something. Cook something. Sing something. Build something. Make something. Buy nothing. #BuyNothingDay

My latest read is Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin. My book rating is 3/5 (it would be higher if I liked video gaming, which I don’t particularly).

I once had these U2 CDs recorded from vinyl by my brother on tape. I found these three on a stall in Lymington market. Then I saw a UB40 CD next to them. £15 the lot. What a bargain and a reminder of past times. “Rat in the Kitchen” was the theme song of a New Year's trip to the IOW in 1985/86.

Saturday market on Lymington High Street has a popular vibe. The Lardy Cake on the bread stall is a traditional spiced bread enriched with lard and found in southern England. (It was one of my grandfather’s favourites). And you can “leave the gun and take the cannoli” at this market, too.

I love the green on these beach boulders. It reminds me of the colour of the paintwork on my childhood home, which I painted every year as a teenager.
