Brighter journeys ahead at King’s Cross St Pancras thanks to TfL’s upgrade of 6,000 lights to LEDs. The new lighting will cut costs and save energy, while providing safer and brighter journeys for customers.

The beavers we helped reintroduce to west London have officially been named by Ealing schoolchildren: meet Woody and Willow, and their kits Chompy and Chewy 🦫 Our Rewild London fund is restoring nature and creating climate resilience across the capital 🌍

Two awesome profiles this week of two climate champs I have had/am having the pleasure to work with. First @elpinchbeck.bsky.social in the Times and then @metecoban92.bsky.social in the Graun www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2025... www.thetimes.com/article/b729...

London is going green and those that did the least to cause the crisis will be the first to be helped

But the world will continue to invest in the green economy. Trump is making America wait again for the economic opportunity of the 21st century www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...

can i just say, none of this is very brat

A moving morning in city hall, especially given consciously triggering images later today

The recruitment team at the LGA clearly like to have some fun

Until we stop renting being a necessity rather than a choice (which we must), we can’t make it financially impossible to enter for folks that can afford the monthly rent

Before we ring in 2025, let’s look back at everything we achieved together to make London a fairer, safer and greener city in 2024.

Cities like London and Paris are at the forefront of the fight against climate change. Today, I was at Paris City Hall with Deputy Mayor Dan Lert, exchanging ideas on how we can improve air quality, clean our rivers, and cut energy bills for working people 🌱🇫🇷🇬🇧

Boy, I sure hope these collapsing global governments don’t get in the way of keeping up to date with disgraced BBC presenters

@jonathanhealey.bsky.social Waterstone’s in Angel x

Great spot - fingers crossed - by @paulpowlesland.bsky.social and covered by @londoncentric.media of a possible London otter 🦦 - clearly they heard about @london.gov.uk 's commitment to build a plan to clean waterways @metecoban92.bsky.social

No matter what your policy is on the North Sea, it is running out of gas So unless we start to move away from gas boilers, we'll just have to import more gas from abroad Heat pumps will increasingly run off British renewables, shielding their owners from gas price spikes.

This misses out the local story - so many climate progressive mayors elected and re-elected meaning for @c40cities.bsky.social globally and @uk100.org nationally, progress keeps on rolling www.theguardian.com/environment/...
