There’s bipartisan support for ICE & the post-9/11 security state that created it. Once the government gains power, it doesn’t let go. That’s why today’s abuses—deportations for political speech, anti-BDS laws, attacks on immigrant rights—must be challenged now. Power unchallenged becomes permanent.

I have zero patience for “do climate work but just don’t call it that”. I am not talking in code about an existential threat bc a handful of Americans like profiting off oil and gas & have managed to brainwashed another handful of Americans. Don’t capitulate. They’ll take your funding anyway.

I think it’s important to remember fascism does not only win because of how people vote in a single election. Or even two. That is not the first and only cause. And if your institutions were resistant to fascism it would not succeed in consolidating power within a few months.

Cannot possibly overstate how much I resent having to know about something called fucking DOGE. Especially humiliating era in American decline.

I'm not saying journalists should never interview admitted propagandists. There are journalistic reasons to do so. But if we do, we must be prepared to -- in fact it is our duty to -- challenge vociferously all unsubstantiated claims. Otherwise, we ourselves become propagandists.

these days if you tell me you’re into “wellness” i assume you are too stupid to breathe

Logical end conclusion to the game of making all anti-antisemitism activism revolve around rebuking criticism of the State of Israel and its official legal and political statecraft rooted in Jewish supremacism is that 1/4th to 1/3rd of American Jews are permanently branded antisemitic for dissenting

…just as *every other survey and experiment* has found for decades. The “problem” with UBI is that greedy rich fucks want captive victims and UBI causes supplies of those to plummet.

Hey can we tax rich people more? Rich person: don’t be silly with these crazy impossible ideas, we simply need to achieve the singularity

there’s a style of reporting that’s basically like “the left hasn’t been duped by the transparently bad faith framing of the right, but I, the reporter, very much have.”

There is no legitimate way to increase birthrates, and no legitimate reason to. The problem of lumpy generational cohorts can easily be solved through liberalizing immigration, and the only thing standing in the way of doing that is racism.

Isn’t there a boycott of PEN America because of their commitment to Zionist politics and refusal to defend Palestinian writers and their families? Why are writers accepting these nominations #BookSky pen.org/announcing-t...

Stop pretending. Go Vegan.

I used to select Dem primary candidates based on policy. Now I will aggressively try to destroy any Dem who says "we need to look forward not backward" and fervently support anyone who says "I will see these motherfuckers prosecuted and jailed if it's the last thing I do."

I mean, Obama won twice so? If Gore had found the spine to fight when his election was stolen, and Clinton and Harris had actually tried to earn votes, we'd be light years ahead of where we are.

Never forget: this is NOT Trump's agenda. This is the Republican Party's agenda, called for in Project 2025, yes, but basically unchanged for the past 25 years The GOP is built on climate denial, and they will destroy American science before they will accept the end of the fossil-energy economy.

Grass-fed or not, cow flesh is a climate disaster. The emissions, the deforestation, the water use, the methane - it’s a perfect storm. And we’ve known it for decades. open.substack.com/pu...

So what I’m going to do is debunk these arguments one by one. No, the exception for the children of occupying armies is not about parental allegiance and no, it has no application to the children of undocumented folks. reason.com/volokh/2025/...

The agency forecasts weather, manages fisheries, and researches the world's oceans, atmosphere, and climate. The proposed budget cuts would slash the climate work entirely.

The level of dark lobbying and PR campaigns the meat industry is engaging in right now is completely bonkers www.theguardian.com/environment/...

we are living in fascism right now

The American people made a Faustian bargain—deporting their neighbors, condemning women to unnecessary deaths, killing tens of millions abroad—for a good economy. If they actually get one they will do this over and over again. They must learn that when the lowest among us suffer, we all do.

Dear nonVegans, If you aren’t even willing to bear witness to a mere glimpse of what you pay for - perhaps you shouldn’t be paying for it.

Rufo's real genius was recognizing how many people in elite spaces are so enormously self-loathing they'll offer him every opportunity they can to lie straight to their faces

Writing threatening articles, as one does

Hard to imagine anything more anti-Christian than Rubio cutting life-saving aid to millions of people.

This is the greatest scandal of Western journalism of our age - and we must keep the receipts for the reckoning ahead.

The State Department is asking employees to report any "anti-Christian bias" they experienced during theBiden administration, Politico reports and I've independently confirmed. www.politico.com/news/2025/04... Images of the snitch portal they set up that were shared with me:

1. Whenever you see really vicious and widespread "spontaneous" attacks on scientific findings that challenge powerful economic interests, you can be assured that corporate lobbyists have been busy behind the scenes. www.theguardian.com/environment/...

It always boggles my mind that I, a journalist, am expressly forbidden from trading stocks, but members of Congress, with vastly greater knowledge of market-moving news, are allowed to profit by front-running markets, and so may profit by in essence stealing from the public they represent.

You can tell who the Good Guys are because they're the ones smashing a car window to drag a mother away from her child while wearing ski masks.

Not a single time in this article glorifying the need for sprawl to address the US's affordable housing crisis is there a mention of the vast transportation costs of sprawling living patterns. Nor is there mention of the fact that sprawl is directly linked to disinvestment in urban cores.

Feels like the most radical thing you can be right now is pro humanity
