I launched a prototype of my upcoming game: Housekeeper. It is a completable version, showcasing half of final vision. Scavenge abandoned apartments, cut on broken glass, fight anomalies, trade with the merchants, try to deceive them and care for yourself! alexgrim.itch.io/housekeeper

Criminally underrated hidden gem for every 100 followers: Devil Daggers. This is a pure essence of first person shooter genre. It makes you adapt and train for its challenges and enemies on the muscle level of input. I warn you though, it will suck you in for hours on.

Criminally underrated gem for every 100 followers: Volgarr The Viiking. I just really like it, it's a 100% solid action platformer, devastating difficulty, stunning pixel visuals, getting all achievements is truly a challenge worth completing.

Hello, everyone, I created a Russian-Speaking Game Dev starter pack, if you're interested to be in it, write a comment or pm me! go.bsky.app/UxK6sVy

store.steampowered.com/app/2897730/... Hey, my first steam discount is up!

Criminally underrated gem for every 100 followers: Thirty Flights of Loving. Narrative wonder, millisecond-perfect pacing, example to everyone who touched a script in their life. And lasts less than hour. Actually, you can check out anything from Blendo games, as they have amazing stuff.

Criminally underrated gem for every 100 followers: Ittle Dew. Amazing sokoban with genius level design and 4 different routes to complete the game, based on which of the 3 key tools you get. Great replayability, fun bosses, that use key mechanics and also has great humour.

Criminally underrated gem for every 100 followers: Primordia. I am in love with it, I completed everything, I cried, I was obsessed with characters and scenes. Primordia flew under the radar, though you know it if you're into point'n'click genre. If you are and missed it - instant recommendation!

Criminally underrated hidden gems every 100 followers: We Know The Devil. It's a bit less hidden than previous entries, but too hidden for how amazing it is. Original atmosphere, style, story idea, and most importantly a great storyline. Prepare for a ride full of tears.

Criminally underrated gem every 100 followers: LOCALHOST We all know a lot of media about robots having a soul (Detroit, Blade Runner, etc.) Localhost is that, but much darker and dystopian. It's paper's please like pov of different hdds of robots trying to persuade you NOT to format them.

Criminally Underrated Gem every 100 followers. Type Dreams. From Hofmeier, creator of Cart Life. A Typing game, my personal top 2 in the genre (sorry, but my fav is Textorcist for now) This game will destroy your keyboard. Sliding the typewriter by sliding across f keys is genius and satisfying.

Favorite mechanics from games I played. Downwell. Multimechanics. Several mechanisms bound to single object/key (thanks gmtk, perfect example) The Flow. Example of a great game flow, you want to permanently fall down and keep the combo. Color Palettes. Amazing and simple customization!

Favorite mechanics from games I played. Shadow of the Colossus. Hold to not fall. Best possible input for climbing, immersive. Unreliable compass. Sword ray is great, depends on lighting and also shows hints in battle. No minions. Boss rush without "filler" enemies is best way for boss rush.

Favorite mechanics from games I played. Pathologic 2. Trading - love it, amazing, my next game will be based around similar system. Curing - perfect in terms of resources/deduction of color + no way to prevent, only lower probability. World - dynamic, engaging, everchanging (night/quarantine).

New tradition: a criminally underrated hidden gem every 100 followers. Corrypt Genius sokoban, that I wouldn't want to spoil, but mindbend level is very close to Baba Is You, though less complex. Beautiful adventure, amazing core mechanic (that shows late in game).

Favorite mechanics from games I played. Northern Journey. Ballistic weapons - no hit-scan, everything is projectile and falls Lots of Bits - every level had something new! Some temp new piece of gameplay Hiking - pure level design, just fps jumping and walking, and yet feels like an adventure

When working on Violent Horror Stories, I did styled text with wobbly effects. One of the challenges was to make a dyslexia mode. Main points: Text is still, uses one of the suitable fonts (arial for example), plain background for readability. Always plan dyslexia/color blind modes from the start!

Favorite mechanics from games I played. Alien Soldier. Gravity Change - changing gravity in an action game feels amazing Air Lock - jumping mid jump makes you stuck mid air, interesting moveset option Super Dash - having more than max hp forces next dash to damage enemies, but costs this extra hp

And the last 3rd Mycelium steam key: ZGY8G-4GWQ0-MAYDT

Let's celebrate my 100 here. Second Mycelium key for steam: 33TRN-4APY7-L8NKV

@gameengines.bsky.social Hi! One Game Maker label, please!

First free Mycelium key: DCGYK-VP0HF-KQ784 2 more are going to be posted later!

Mycelium is out! 5 years of development, 3+ concept iterations, 8+ hard balance patches, 6+ iterations of first ability, 12+ self plays to find out all the bugs, 8 characters to find themselves trapped in the cave and 30 hours of gameplay! Enjoy!

Favourite mechanics in games I played. Oddworld. Gamespeak - never seen talking with commands done so right Possessions - strong, engaging, diversifies gameplay, adds complex action and puzzle aspects Grid lock - characters snap to invisible grid. Gives more control over movement than you imagine

Monochronos (my first game) featured a lot of scenes and objects, that had no purpose but to be mesmerizing. For example this lever (more such scenes in comments)

Favorite mechanics in games I played. Resident Evil 2 remake: Mr. X - unscripted indestructible entity is an anxiety inducing element for horror games. Close up examining items to reveal another item inside - simple and fun. Limited saves - easy high stake maker and solves save scam problem.

I'm definitely making a giveaway for Mycelium right here, tomorrow, after release! Will post 3 steam keys one at a time in a small intervals.

An inspiring deduction board game, that is aboard the favorite Return of the Obra Dinn in terms of detective design. The giant intricate map just shows you everything at once and you need to tie it all together by being attentive and making logical hoops. Strong recommendation to check out!

By the way, you can check my previous work on itch: alexgrim.itch.io I made 2 puzzle games before stepping into making giant RPGs, always start with small steps!
