A few thoughts on academic civility, the paradigm ceasefire, and the challenge posed to critical social psychology by the misdiagnosis of the replicability crisis. Based on the idea that the HarrΓ© quote below would be seen as terribly poor form if uttered by a prominent social psychologist today.

1987 is probably my favourite year for social psychology -- I can't think of a better one for books on exciting new theory.
