Has the Social Security Administration's reliance on a legacy programming language adversely affected its ability to make payments to 70,000,000+ Americans? The answer to this question is absolutely not. That's exactly why DOGE is doing this. They know that it will disrupt a system that works.

GOP voters used to say "We need to stop giving money to Ukraine and use that money to take care of Americans." This talking point has always meant "We need to use that money to take care of *real* Americans." The message here is if you need federal funding to be fed, you're not a *real* American.

If Hegseth is allowed to keep his job after presiding over a colossal fuck up while this administration is simultaneously firing federal workers en masse, that’s the best proof there is that DOGE has nothing to do with making the government more efficient or ensuring that hiring is based on merit.
