I want to cry thinking about it.

It’s not even that much cooler farther south where I am than you, it used to be reliably cooler in west county and it’s not anymore 😩😩😩😩

I am still so mixed up about the whole thing. I want to be up there. I don’t want to be down here. But also I don’t want to leave. But I don’t want to be hot. I dont want summer. But I don’t want to move from my friends. But I don’t want to stay.

Yes but what a way to go, having a beautiful poached egg on my frisee salade aux lardons and then perishing of what should be a highly preventable disease that rfk has deemed we should all have.

Lmao i was about to tag you but Megstar is as usual ahead of the game.

Oh fuck that would have been perfect. (Yes I did walk down the aisle to “concerning hobbits” from a vitamin string quartet compilation called something like “geek Wedding” 🤣)

I didn’t trust myself to wing it, so this was as close to that as I could get. Three years later, I look at it and I’m like, yup I said the most important things AND I got two little jokes in so I could stabilize myself and enunciate through the tears.

I needed the pressure to get it done and have it be actual emotion.
(The “it’s been a week” thing was because Petey tested positive for Covid the Tuesday before the wedding so we had to scramble to change a bunch of stuff so he wouldn’t come in contact with me
Or anyone else)

I kept trying to write them ahead of time, and honestly it ended up being done at 10pm the night before after running around all day doing the rehearsal and dinner, and I sat down in bed with a glass of rose, turned on lord of the rings, and just started writing.

It’s already a lot when we pick up Monday’s mail which has been combined with Saturday’s.

Also even my small ass company would be OVERWHELMED by the mail if it came once a week. We have FIVE HUNDRED clients and we liaise on their behalf with like 150 state and federal agencies!

Ah yes, Life, Liberty, and an unregulated free market. Just as Tommy J intended it.

god I would vote so hard for this it’s the ONLY mail I get outside of Christmas cards bc I’ve gone paperless for everything else.

And that one of those companies is going to “revolutionize” air traffic control here in the US 🫠

I’m not entirely sure this was the one I saw bc it was a series of skeets, not an image or flier like what I think this is mentioning? But also my brain is a sieve.

The ONLY thing I can decisively remember from it was buying only necessities, with cash, locally if possible. It was good and I scrolled through a week of likes, and apparently I didn’t save it? SMH.

The last two I like to listen to when I went to sleep too, both the hosts have lovely speaking voices.

Okay so
Coffee break French is the best for beginners. Short blocks with frequent English lessons.
Langua talk slow French with Gaëlle
And
Little slow talk in French
Both better for intermediate as it’s longer blocks of French BUT they do speak SLOWLY.

My favorites have been her episodes touring stately homes and palaces and like … just listening as she walks along. I was able to drop in on Google maps and tour Hampton court at the same time.

I don’t have that many but Pete and I are always looking for our favorite things as physical media. They’re so cheap now, and regularly people want to give their libraries away on Craigslist etc.

The menu design alone on those is art. I get it. I’m gonna order one now.

Okay this makes me want a dvd player because I miss my lord of the rings commentaries. I used to put on FOTR on Thursday nights in high school and bake cookies to take to my 0 period English class.

Yeah I don’t mind the texture or the flavor of the canned beets if they’re in with other stuff (esp if it’s something with a crunch to counter the softness), but it took me ages to get there. It was always more the sweet dirt flavor for me that I struggled with.
comment in response to

Certain types of beets are milder. The yellow ones are like … less beety. Chioggia beets too (they look like peppermints so they’re extra pretty too). But also the citrus like
.. offsets the earthiness somehow. I’d want something with crunch added too like fennel or endive.

40 and 48 but also, adopted, blended family.
Bio parents were I think mid 30s? Idk I’d have to dig up the file.

Not when they’re Washington state ferries. Every Washington state ferry is an old friend to me. Shoutouts to MV Yakima and the now retired MV Elwha, you both carried me around the islands on countless occasions.

It was everything I wanted it to be. And the panko crust retained some crunch so it was absolutely worth the 4.5 hours of prep. God that was good.

I am reminded why I only do this once every few years. Peeling, slicing, and frying eight pound of eggplant is so much eggplant.

I am in fact making a double batch bc I am doing a meal train for pals who just had a fresh new bébé last week.

Nah, that’s not the look I want. the whole reason I stopped coloring is bc my hair grows SO fast, you can see the growth at a little over a week. It was expensive and futile to try to maintain the brown I love.
comment in response to

This is how I feel about my grey hair and even though I’ve never gotten more compliments on my hair in my life I still miss being a brunette.
