Hey, is America great again yet?

Westchester rally to hold Mike Lawler accountable for paving the way for massive cuts to food, clean water, and Medicaid. Join us Tuesday in Peekskill www.mobilize.us/fww/event/75...

I have a joke about carbon offsets but someone else is going to have to tell it to you and a third person is going to have to verify if it is funny while a fourth person argues that the second person was already going to tell the joke anyway

Last night, Mike Lawler was the deciding vote to move the Trump/Musk budget forward, paving the way for massive cuts to SNAP, medicaid, and many other programs. FWW statement: www.foodandwaterwatch.org/2025/02/26/r...

Every once in a while a story comes along that really shows RNG is just bullshit. www.timesrepublican.com/news/todays-...

Today, Republicans are set to vote on massive cuts to food, water, and climate programs -- and also medicaid, social security, and everything else. Urge your Member of Congress to vote no –– we can win this, but we need to be loud right now. act.foodandwaterwatch.org/page/79513/a...

Just hilarious theonion.com/democratic-l...

The thing about Andrew Cuomo is this is really a He said She said She said She said She said She said She said She said She said She said She said She said Don’t rank this guy!

At the RenCen today for the Michigan Dems convention (there are a ton of people here), and man this building is weird.

People should remember that Cuomo is a monster. Don't rank him.

More great coverage of the growing ire New Yorkers are expressing over Jeffries sleepwalking through the Trump-Musk ongoing disaster. www.salon.com/2025/02/21/h...

It's so great to see this -- @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social better get used to this stuff (or he could just, you know, be better). Everyone I know is furious about his anemic response thus far. www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ep_...

It’s pretty weird how often dem electeds are upended by their eternal desire to write and promote books no one will ever care about. Yes this is a Cuomo/Jeffries subtweet.

Happening now: protesters are outside the Fine Arts Building on Michigan Avenue in downtown Chicago this evening. People are in line to see House of Reps Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries for an event tonight promoting his recently released book. Crowd chanting at them, "we don't need a book tour!"

This week families are stopping by their assembly members' offices with kids to distribute information about #NYHEATAct which would reduce our reliance on polluting fossil gas AND make bills affordable. Here's one team after visiting AM Epstein! Democracy in action 💪🔥 #CleanerHeatLowerBills

Ugh.

The President and the republican members of New York's congressional delegation - I'm looking at you Mike Lawler, Nicole Malliotakis, Andrew Garbarino and Nick LaLota - just blew a $16 billion hole in the most important transit system in the nation.

A weird thing about Hakeem that isn’t discussed is he spent years doing stuff like this in the house, and it more or less played well. Because the whole body has no personality at all. But when normal people see it it’s cringe.

Energy Giant confirms Renewables can be ready at scale TODAY. Gas will take longer. Nuclear, longer still. Reinforcing what I have been saying- If we have an #Energyemergency , we'd better start building solar, wind and batteries. thinc.blog/2025/02/18/e...

Do not vote for Andrew Cuomo for mayor.

If Hochul had any political instincts at all she’d remove Adams right now. We’re watching a president save a nakedly corrupt mayor in order to screw over immigrants. This isn’t a hard call. Christ, the right wing prosecutor looks more principled than the Dem governor at the moment!

Great piece on what the extreme Trump/Musk/GOP House budget means for our food, water, and climate: www.foodandwaterwatch.org/2025/02/14/m...

Egg rationing in Trump’s America. Is it great again yet? www.nbcnews.com/business/bus...

Hey I was happily wrong about this. She quit! The rare bit of good news. Other people could and should follow her example.

The NYC Council should pass Intro 1180 to close Eric Adams’ landlord loophole in Local Law 97, which he created by regulations. The bill would: 🛑 Adams from destroying good jobs 🛑 Adams from increasing pollution 🛑 Adams from raising utility bills Pass it! gothamist.com/news/legisla...

I cannot believe we're still doing this stuff. No, the Federalist Society interim Manhattan US attorney is not going to stand up to Trump. Why does anyone pretend? www.nytimes.com/2025/02/12/n...

Happening NOW: Public Services Commission & Gov Hochul hear @ssteingraber1.bsky.social object to fracked gas permits for dangerous "Iroquois" pipeline expansion: "Compressor stations spew toxic pollutants into the air 24 hours a day"

It's funny to have a poll showing minority support for something and then have the headline say: Dems want this.

Hmmmm

The richest man in the world is looting the government right now, and Jeffries is still out there hoping some other Silicon Valley billionaire will maybe be less evil. So incredibly stupid. www.politico.com/news/2025/02...

The quotes in here basically say that they’re sitting there idly but resent that people are noticing. Just pathetic.

Man, I can’t believe Hochul is getting cold feet again! gothamist.com/news/gov-hoc...

This should be obvious, but rolling back regulations in slaughterhouses is a truly terrible idea. You might think people would remember The Jungle, but I don’t think those calling the shots are big readers. sentientmedia.org/meat-industr...

"For several weeks, most congressional Democrats are operating as if it’s business as usual. It’s become clear that it’s up to us to push our leaders to defend our food, water, climate and democracy." www.commondreams.org/opinion/the-...

People rooting for the eagles as some kind of lovable underdog should remember that Eagles fans cheered after Michael Irvin suffered a career ending injury as he was lying on the field.

Today @govkathyhochul.bsky.social approved a massive fracked gas pipeline expansion. So many New Yorkers worked to stop this, but Hochul sided with the fossil fuel industry. Disgusting www.foodandwaterwatch.org/2025/02/07/g...

In Pittsburgh today w/the amazing @foodandwater.bsky.social PA team, and they’re super excited about their life size cut out of Josh Shapiro #OffFossilFuels

I know a million people have pointed this out, but the NYT pointing out the possible upside of ethnic cleansing doesn't seem great.

🔥 quote from @joannesimonbk52.bsky.social here: "New Yorkers are paying more every year for the same old, outdated system, when we could be paying less for new, better technology. NY HEAT is a forward-looking plan that transitions us away from fossil fuels.“ spectrumlocalnews.com/nys/central-...

This is cool — they should all be doing this kind of thing over and over every day. This is their job now.

More than 1.2 million households are behind on utility bills and rates are continuing to climb. Reliance on fossil fuels drives up costs and harms our environment. We must pass the #NYHEATAct to deliver relief to families across NYS & kick-start our transition to clean energy.⚡️

Such an awesome group today fighting for #NYHEAT. These are the folks that will win this bill to lower our bills, slash pollution, and move NY’s buildings #OffFossilFuels. Let’s go!

This is just insanity.
