We visit Charlotte at the hospice where her body was taken 4 the last time The room is cold she lies there finally free of pain Her marbled skin turned pale white Marmalade the ted from Miles is with her They ask would I like a lock of her hair I say yes small brown box contains that lock of hair

24.2.16 9 years today RIP C x No signs of life Mottled skin No pulse No audible heart sounds No respiratory effort No breath sounds No response to stimuli Pupils fixed and dilated RIP, Charlotte. 16:00pm Death cert 1a Glioblastoma Multiforme 1b Recurrent disseminated anaplastic astrocytoma

I will only stop raising awareness for Charlotte and brain cancer when I take my last breath. Until then, I will keep fighting for her, for others, for change. Please RT/Follow with thanks Charlotte 18.2.97 - 24.2.2016 aged 19 years 5 days

One RT if you know what glioblastoma is just to see how many people have heard of it. My beautiful and only daughter died from this cruel disease 9 years ago on Monday. She was 19 & should have had her whole life ahead of her. More awareness is desperately needed.

Happy Birthday you would have been 28 today. Photos from Charlotte's 18th 10 years ago today. “If you simply cannot understand why someone is grieving so much for so long, then consider yourself fortunate that you do not understand.” Joanne Cacciatore

people always give 2 big charities We work hard 2 be completely transparent not a single penny goes anywhere else but 2 brain tumour research at CLab No salaries/overheads/gimmicks just dedication & donations 2 fund research Small charities like us depend on your support charlottesbag.com

Been 2 breast clinic was examined by consultant all normal but had mammogram/ultrasound happy 2 say all normal just healing cavity where tumour was & scar tissue that needs time 2 fully mature/settle Go 4 your mammogram a bit uncomfortable but better than discovering advanced breast cancer.

Heading back 2 the breast clinic tomorrow Surgery on 14/6/2024 for a 13mm ER carcinoma I’ve been on a brain cancer journey with my daughter but my breast cancer is new territory Hope it’s just scar tissue though it feels tender and lumpy. If you’re called for a mammogra go. Early detection matters.

Charlotte was 16 when diagnosed with a grade 3 Anaplastic Astrocytoma. Here is a list of a typical days medication. Raising awareness & funding

Total donations to date: £312,102.62 100% of all donations have gone to research at Charlotte's LAB, Kings College Hospital. London. In memory, in action advancing brain tumour research.

HOW YOUR DONATIONS HAVE BEEN SPENT We have used C BAG funds 2 invest in Oxford Nanopore Tech this enables rapid DNA sequencing & data analysis in real time although still early results look v promising & should enable a full tumour classification in under 2 hrs of sample being taken in surgery

7.2.2016 9 yrs ago 2day 14.00 pm Discussion with Doctors about what will happen once Charlotte has passed away. They explained the options regarding a hospice or the hospital mortuary. We were told we would be able to be with Charlotte for a few hours on the ward before she would be transferred.

Feb the hardest month of the yr Xmas is a struggle but nothing compares 2 the emotional turmoil Feb brings. U went into an induced coma on the 5th had a 19th birthday on the 18th u never got to experience & died on the 24th of February 2016 Every single day I miss u more than the day be4 Mummy x

C's YouTube began 14.6.2014 with words Hi my name is Charlotte Eades I’m just like any other typical teenage girl but I have a twist the twist is I have cancer 600 days later on 4.2.2016 she filmed her last video she could no longer speak so I did the voice over www.youtube.com/watch?v=d6LE...

As your cancer progressed u always found the courage 2 push on no matter what was thrown at u If your cancer had been operable maybe u would have had more time but that’s something we will never know u r so missed u were an inspirational young woman, and I hope your legacy continues to inspire.

In 2016 I lost my daughter Charlotte my mother & my aunt all in less than 5 weeks The biggest loss was Charlotte. At just 19, she had her whole life ahead of her. While my mother and aunt were both in their 90s, I never truly grieved for them. The weight of losing my child overshadowed everything.

When people look at headstones, they often focus on the dates of birth and death. But the most important part is the dash in the middle. An entire life everything they were, everything they did reduced to a one-inch line carved in stone. Charlotte 18.2.97 - 24.2.16

really feel the loss of C We used 2 love shopping I trusted her judgement 100% she was always so honest I found beautiful white satin pleated dress & cardigan fitted perfectly I bought it then doubt crept in was it 2 young 4 me no occasion to wear it I returned it wonder what C would have said

Still got your mobile number in my contacts wish it would ring and say It's me I'll be home shortly. Still got your Pandora bracelet Still got your favourite dress Still got handwritten notes from u The only thing I haven't got is you 24th Feb will b 9 yrs since u died Age 19 years 5 days

In addition to supporting bereaved students I had an idea to create a staff support network @ school Yesterday a colleague & I launched it the response in just 24 hours has been amazing & so positive Grateful to see this idea already making a difference

Received £1250 from Harrow School who chose Charlotte's BAG as their chosen charity for their Christmas Town carol event. Many thanks to Carol & Kevin for organising this.

C since u left us our lives will never b the same We are privileged 2 b talking 2 some of the most eminent professionals in their field Being able 2 see 1st hand how much progress is being made at speeding up tumour analysis as well as providing clinicians & patients with more accurate diagnoses

Looking forward to our call with KCH & the CBAG team updating us on how your donations have been & will be spent Not many charities can give you an exact update! If u would like a poster 4 your workplace u can download 1 here As always thank u so much for all your support x charlottesbag.com/donate/

When I go to sleep at night this is the last thing I see. When I wake up in the morning this is the first thing I see. As Charlotte said ‘This is my life’.

If u don’t ask you’ll never know R there any celebrities out there who would be willing 2 donate to a small self-funding charity? charlottesbag.com works directly with King’s College Hosp funding research in2 brain tumors B tumors kill more under-40s than any other cancer & receive least funding

'This is my life you don't know if things could turn for the worst but I'm still fighting daily & I don't think I'm going to go anywhere very soon' Charlotte 18th July 2015 2 yrs after diagnosis Charlotte died 7 months later aged 19 years 5 days

A lovely surprise today. One of my bereaved students went to London over the break. He wanted to buy me something to say Thank You for all the support I have given him. It's the small things that mean so much.

Looking back, I’m glad I don’t have a diary entry for every single day of Charlotte’s brain tumour journey. At first, I thought this absence might mean I missed something or failed to capture every moment. But over time, I’ve realised that it means something else entirely: some days were normal.

have arranged a call with the team from Kings next week With your donations this has helped the team work on some very rapid diagnostic They r putting together preliminary data 2 share with us Of course Charlotte is unable 2 c the amazing work that C has inspired we know she would be very proud

Term starts in the morning I’m looking forward 2 going back Xmas break always tough since C passed—it’s a period I find hard to navigate. Tomorrow as always I pass C’s old form room I can still picture her there So many memories tied to so many corridors. Yr 7 & Yr 11 Brain cancer Age 19

Celebrating £310k Raised Since 2016 When we started CBAG our dream was simple to make a meaningful difference this achievement would not have been possible without the unwavering support of our donors TY 2 our patrons @ellygriffiths.bsky.social & @matthew-wright.bsky.social Remembering Charlotte
