Because the US really prefers to bury the truth. Like the average American doesn't know we had schools, or what they were, or that our languages and religions were illegal for us into my lifetime, or that forced sterilization was active into 2018. Or that our children were purchasable until ICWA.

it's a very quick way to ensure cultural erasure. also brings to mind residential schools for indigenous children in canada.

Here is the graphic I use when I teach on how the militarization of police has impacted protestors

So you weren’t interested in learning today.

Yup.

Say something worth listening to.

Considering you have populations of Black (aka african) immigrants who have been subjected to forced sterilizations and are in a lower class than non Arab Israelis; and repressed brown people (aka Arabs) the dynamics are related enough for my comment to stick. Stay mad

Yeah you’re right. We’re different. We actually actually abolished our segregation era apartheid system thru mass action while your grandparents were building yours up. But hey at least you are “having negative thoughts” about your country, which is as useful as piss in a bucket.

Oh my bad. I just remembered that Israel, the only democracy in the Middle East, recently made it illegal to criticize the country which is punishable by charges of terrorism and subsequent imprisonment. Definitely not the bad guys.

For real. They need to tighten up what they already got before adding in a bunch more buggy shit.

It’s not an assumption when it’s based on measurable evidence by Israeli journalists showing decades of continued violence towards Black and brown people. Learn how to criticize your own country coward.

You understand how that last sentence could absolutely be referring to the IDF, right?

There are folks who will explain away their family members who watched the bombing for entertainment as “a product of their time”

Actually this clarifies a lot that had confused me about atheism and Judaism! I’d thought they were mutually exclusive but I can totally see how they’re compatible

It’s incredibly necessary to do both, I’d argue

No dawg. I recognise my country as an incredibly high up source of pain and destruction both internally and externally. I express my love for my countrymen by working to end that pain. I hope you develop such insights, conscript.

Quinn. Can you read? They said “Jewish people have nothing to do with the Israeli government” meaning very clearly that the Israeli government is not a representative of Jewish people, not that “if you don’t support Israel you’re not Jewish” you dense fuck

Yeah, it’s definitely Hamas’ fault that israel has killed 10,000 civilians in air strikes and cut off the internet and electricity. Do y’all even hear yourselves anymore or is it just loud tinnitus whistle in your ear at this point
comment in response to post
So just to be clear you’re in these comments defending the nation that took away your right to say no to picking up arms against children.

“HAMAS made me kill these civilians cause they were hiding in a place I am aware of and I had to indiscriminately bomb 10x more civilians than soldiers” y’all are deluded.

Someone I know and respected has accused me of using a Hamas slogan to call on the destruction of Israel which is so bad faith and so disappointing. Literally millions of people around the world are calling for freedom but they draw the line at a chant, not what’s being protested. That’s fucked.

As soon as unfunny zionists realize Hamas and Hummus are slant rhymes it’s over

Have you considered reading the words people type instead of making up some other shit?
comment in response to post
You did read it wrong. And the fact that you acknowledge that it’s not representative of the views and political opinions of a majority of Jewish people pretty much leaves the rest of your drivel in a pile of its own pissy rags. Hang it up.

To say that ~would~ be No True Scotsman ~if~ the OP had said that. But they didn’t.

Did you serve in the IDF?
