I’m finding I need to mute at least one new word every day just to not have a timeline flooded with doom at every moment.

None of us got the alert either, despite being in three different locations that all felt the shaking.

In my East Van office, it felt like when a big truck goes by at speed, except it lasted considerably longer. A big shake that faded out, and then another.

We have go bags at home but I don’t have one at the office. I should throw together a mini one.

When your mother wakes up in a couple of hours I will tell her hello. I’m in the sun room so my fidgeting doesn’t wake my sister in the games room.

Not at all. I used a mandoline slicer to take the hard work out of it. :) It was sort of a riff on this recipe: smittenkitchen.com/2007/07/rata...

If I was still working on set and had to be out in weather all the time I would, but when it’s only a couple of hours a couple of times a year it doesn’t feel worth it.

I have a reservation for the 5pm, so shouldn’t have a problem getting on. Now, where did I put that long underwear? 😂

Thanks! He’s hoping to get five minutes on the field during this game.

Thanks! He may or may not play. They have fewer players than usual this weekend, and he may need to go on as a sub. He’s hoping to get five minutes.

Thanks! It’s been a long rough year but full credit to him for his diligence with physio and fitness and his perseverance when things were really hard.

While I am devastated that Kid had to endure surgery and rehab from a season-ending injury last year, I did not miss the dedicating-all-day-every-Saturday to getting to/from matches. And he was always called up to the two-years older team as well, so it was TWO matches every Saturday.

(In a different timeline where Kid had not been injured and missed a year I would skip this game, but this *could* be his first minutes playing since Feb 10 last year, so out into the weather I am prepared to go.)

Haha if my apartment balcony was in Antarctica I would never let a minute go by without reminding people I LIVED IN ANTARCTICA
