Your outie understands when someone is making a joke on the internet and doesn't embarrass themselves in people's replies

If I never heard the words “tech bro” ever again I would die happy. I don’t even want their labour saving innovations for jobs I don’t like. Or for my health. I will build my beehive hut of ancient stones on a cliff’s edge, fill it with books, and let coastal erosion take me over time. Happy.

Discovered over on instagram that the wonderful Fragmentary Forms is only on display in the MOMA shop! My little collage made it to Moma! (Ish!) 😁

Hello, I’m Chloe the person and I’ve put these four recent oil pastel drawings on my website so now they’re for sale and someone could buy them. #art www.chloecumming.com

A really satisfying read.

New Aardman character drops: she's not mad, she's just very disappointed 👍🏛️🍑 #MuseumBums This is the 7,500-year-old "Red-haired Goddess", in the National Museum, Belgrade. It was found near Odžaci, Serbia 😁

I really need to finish revamping my website but it feels like such a chore. I know it’s part of the job but it’s Bo-ring. 🥱

Some older collages from back in the day. Powerblouse (Barbara Stanwyck) is available as a limited edition print. www.alexmarch.com/shop/power-b...

He is prepared to do the thing, but the price will be rather high.

I made some pastel drawings recently inspired by Jean Auguste Dominique Ingres The Turkish Bath. “The Boys Club I and II.” 40cm dia. Delicious Sennelier soft pastel on industrial filter paper. More incoming.

Off in search of renaissance drawing and neo-classical knick knacks in London today. 🚶🏻‍♀️

“What’s required is a subtle sense of how provision of arts in schools, & in communities (theatres, libraries, museums) can create opportunities for children from all backgrounds.”

So a few folks have recently joined the skyline so I thought I’d reintroduce myself. I’m a UK based artist making drawing, collage and painting -I’m interested in historical visual culture and how the contemporary gaze is formed, and a lot of other things!

If you see this, post a witch. (Sorry couldn’t resist)

Hello artists and art theorists, is there some good writing on the connections between drawing and collage anyone can recommend?

New paintings in the studio. No titles as yet.

January morning over-caffeinated mood right there.

For me the cabin is by the sea, but otherwise exactly this.

In the studio painting today Bluesky. It’s berloody cold. (Hence dumb hat)

Ai dreck posted into the timeline will be blocked. 🚫

Mood

Today’s vibe is unexpected finds and unlooked for joy by the sea in Dorset.

I am here, I am here! There is even warmth in the weak winter sun. We are in Lyme Regis for a week.

In the Christmas hinterland of Betwixtmas there is time for toast tapas, strong coffee and Jean Rhys. Can’t believe I’ve never read this.

This evenings theme is mostly sloe gin and After Eights before eight, then a slightly desperate sandwich made of every delicious thing in the fridge. Plus a pickled onion. Boxing Day tradition upheld.

This is Just To Say I have eaten the mince pie You left on The plate And that you were saving for Father Christmas Forgive me it was crumbly and he is too fat anyway

I have made a #DuvetKnowItsChristmas bingo card! And done alt text on it (as everyone else should, if they're able).

‚„Daddy, Daddy!” she cried out in anguish. “Margaret Mumm says there’s no Santa Claus!” Our father stopped typing, considered briefly what she’d told him, and then said, “You tell Margaret Mumm there’s no God.”‘ Caitlin Flanagan, The Atlantic, January 2025 Issue #IrishLiterature #SeamusHeaney

I left a rubber sponge behind by mistake. Please will you get someone to post it to me.

Just harvested sprouts on winter solstice. Does this mean something spiritually? Will the sprouts give us som sort of witchy protection for 2025? I certainly hope so.

What is your favorite food from your home culture/country/region that you love, but that folks don't seem to know about or appreciate? Scotch Pie and mushy peas, as served on wartime blue china in the WI hall in my Northumbrian childhood of the eighties. Accompanied by a Beetle Drive.

Decided that I’m blocking anyone who posts the same crap as loads of other posters. If it bored me, Block. if it’s AI, block.

Not to be smug (ok a bit smug) but I am now Christmas ready. Excessive amounts of cheese purchased, all gifts sorted, house decorated and as many cards as I can be bothered sent. That’s it, I’m clocking off.
