I’m listening to the live stream of this and in keeping with his usual weirdness, RFK keeps grunting into the mic while others are speaking like he’s wanking under the desk.

Repurpose Christmas cards to save money

Terrible the names parents lump their kids with sometimes.

Watched The War Games Colourisation with my 6 year old and he followed what was happening and sat and watched from start to finish, which shows that it’s doing what it’s intended for really. That we got to the end and he demanded that I make him a Troughton costume is a pretty good review I’d say.

Thanks Jamie, but honestly, turkey is fine.

And they say romance is dead.

A happy Doctor Who day to all of you at home. It’s been something of a constant through my life and is some of my earliest memories, despite it being off air at the time. But one of the best things about it has been being able to share that with my little boy and see the next generation of fans.

Post you from a different era.

Your aunt and uncle when you open your birthday card and take out the £5 book token.

Thinking back to last Father’s Day, when my son decided to wake me by running into the bedroom, pushing his tablet under my nose, and ominously shouting ‘DADDY, I CALL THIS GOD IS DEAD’.

Absolute chaos at points at LFCC today, but worth it to get Felix a photo in his Fifteenth Doctor costume with Ncuti And Millie. Pretty big deal for a 6 year old fan and lovely to see him so excited. ❤️❤️

#Election2024

Christmas has officially gone too far.

Fantastic night at the Albert Hall for the Doctor Who Prom. Saw a few faces but didn’t get a chance to say hello. However there was one man that Felix had been hoping to meet, so was delighted he could get a photo with RTD.

Got Felix all set up and ready in his Legend of Ruby Sunday costume for us to head to the Doctor Who Prom this evening. Bring on the music and the monsters!

Doctor Who - The Next Doctor (2008) Dir. Andy Goddard

Update on this afternoon’s video call chaos: it resulted in our Who obsessed son getting a video sent through for him, and seeing Tom waving and then Felix getting starstruck and instinctively waving back was heart meltingly cute.

I’m out at lunch and behind me are a group of people saying they think they were victims of the Horizon scandal as their ‘household bills never seemed to add up’. It’s like the twats that say ‘well I think I caught Covid in October 2019 as I had a bad cold’. Jesus wept… 🤦‍♂️

When I’m in the office, I find a flurry of incoming personal speakerphone video calls anxiety inducing at the best of times. But I have to hand it to my Mum, she really found a way to up the ante today.

Friday night arts and crafts with the boy making some Time of The Doctor Weeping Angel snow globe baubles.

That episode of Doctor Who was in a weird way the closest the show has come to a televised Big Finish story, and I mean that in a good way.

That special time when we hang up our book depository bunting and gather round to recite the Warren Commission, all ready for the children as they run down in the morning, their faces aglow with one question in their lips: ‘Has he been? Has Oswald been yet?’ Magical.

‘Perfect’

"Very well, where do I begin? My father would smoke, he would drink, he would make outrageous claims like he invented the TARDIS. Sometimes, he would accuse the BBC of murdering him, the sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament."

This part is of today’s Who announcement is particularly interesting. While colorisation is perhaps most likely given the rumours, I’d really hope it involves some cut down omnibus editions of classic stories. It’s the best thing you could do to make them accessible to the average new viewer.

A fantastic 5.5” tribute to Pete Trewavas’ work with Marillion.

🖖🎙️NEW PODCAST: #StarTrek The Next Generation podcast First Contact is here with important thoughts on season 5 episode 'Power Play'.

I wrote and proudly showed off a 15 minute prog song about the progress of a day which was a metaphor for the the different stages of life. It was entirely in MIDI and was God awful.

“Please explain this gap in your resume.” Well they sell women's and men's clothing. My contract was terminated when they closed their high street stores in 2021, but I was rehired when they reopened some stores in 2022, which, ironically led to a gap in my resume.
