Brad Sigmon, the 4th man my state will kill in as many months, has elected death by firing squad. Full heart. Picked up The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe and started reading aloud to my 5-year-old tonight. We stopped after about 30 pages and he begged me to keep reading. He couldn’t get enough of it—so we kept at it! Finally ended at Turkish Delight. Huge hit.

Storm Drain (whence she came) escaped through a door left ajar, and I was sure we’d seen the last of her. Bolted all the way to the street and disappeared into the night. It was so decisive. Then, a mere 1 min later, she trotted right back up the drive into the house. She knows she’s got it good.

I'm in a lot of chronic illness FB groups, and one thing I've been noticing a lot of recently is increasing mistrust of medical advice. It's more than just the docs not listening to their patients--it's that they're getting "bad feelings" about the science and "questioning" conventional med advice.
