You know what a proper education about queer people might have done for me? Saved me a shitload of confusion and anxiety. Not having any sort of resources for queer kids sure as shit didn't stop me from being ace or trans.

I had an employer offer me a phone interview, then ghost me when I warned them about my voice not matching my name. Another recruiter got noticeably uncomfortable when he heard my voice and rushed the interview to get me off the phone. I have absolutely lost job opportunities by being trans.

And because of the way the billing cycle works, Spectrum won't be cancelled until July 18. Three days after the original scheduled date for fiber, ironically. Oh well, I'm still saving $40 a month this way.

It's insane that much of the rightmost Democrats decided that this is the reason why they lost. The only party making trans rights into an issue were the Republicans, who ran numerous hate speech filled attack ads flat out lying about what Harris, Biden and others were saying about trans people.

Suikoden II is finished. Amazing game, even if the narrative is a little thinner than its reputation. I have mixed feelings about the (perfect) ending, but regardless, there is a reason this game has been regarded as one of the best JRPGs of all time.

I think one of the most affirming things I've experienced in my transition is when cis women ask me if my curls are natural (they are) followed by calling my hair pretty or beautiful. This has happened no fewer than six times and it's a small rush of euphoria every time.
