i hate talking to people on here who you can tell have no actual morals or principles because everything is a "slippery slope" to them even when it's absolutely not. "if we start harassing nazis where does it stop??" at the nazis. that's where it stops. i have an actual moral framework, do you?

People tell me to be safe while biking, and while I appreciate it, what I'd really appreciate is people going a step further and pondering *why* they think biking is unsafe. Because then they'd have to grapple with the fact that we've designed our society to make biking "dangerous" for many people.

This has been my biggest fear and a grave concern I have as #medlibs. There are so many ways they could adulterate PubMed in obvious ways, but also less obvious things they could do that we may never pick up on. I check certain MeSH terms daily to see if anything changed.

Just finished spending out my PD funds for this fiscal year but now I'm once again faced with the prospect of having to fill out my reimbursement form, a thing so awful that I actually said the government was better at this than universities. I'm so glad to have PD money buttttt

An exciting thing about me is that despite being vaccinated and boosted for everything in the regular vaccine schedule, and having worked in healthcare (so I'm up to date on everything), is that my body is shit at seroconversion. So I'm not immune to measles. Anyway! Thanks, anti-vaxxers.

I forgot we planned today to be clean-up day (everyone wipes down their offices, cleans out cabinets, gets rid of ancient electronics, etc) and we ordered pizza! I managed to stay awake for this and had a good reason to stop reding my neverending unread emails!

I went on a tropical vacation for a week and the best part was when too many people tried to crowd into the sports bar on the cruise ship to watch the 4 Nations final and they ended up throwing it up on theatre screens and pulling in waiters to serve drinks to all the riveted Canadians.
