Peas are high in niacin, essential for good bone dev in ducklings (we learned this hard way w/a jumbo Pekin we fed chick starter w/brewers yeast. It was NOT enough niacin for duck that large; she walked with limp her whole life. Slower growing duck did fine, but we became pea pushers after that).
