What deeply concerns me is that it’s almost certainly not about having a ‘right’ space for trans people. It’s not about making sure that people are safe, or protecting women. It’s about making it impossible for trans people to live within the world.

I’m a woman, and so are trans women. After all of this, no one can say that they haven’t experienced the same levels of misogyny, fear and oppression the way that cis women have.

My anger is personal. My anger is personal because I am not the only one who is grieving someone who deserved to live, but was systematically taken apart by ignorance, hatred, and bigotry.

Far better that I sit on the side of the fence which lauds compassion, than the side of the fence which lauds hate.

You were my family. I have never loved anyone with such fierce intent, determination, and with such little regard for myself. I recognise it wasn’t healthy, to so instinctively put someone else’s needs above mine again and again and again.

You deserved to be met with love, grace, and a desire to understand; instead, you were met with judgement, ignorance and rejection. I would not wish you back to the world in its current state, even as I long to be able to hold you again. #letthemlive #transrights #transuk

Looking at the world as it is now, I cannot, could never, blame her. I remember the exhaustion in her voice, the vague gestures silently communicating, ‘look at all of this and then tell me how to keep living’. I remember her saying, ‘this is only going to get worse’.

Today I created and ordered my t-shirt for Trans Pride+ London. Over the next few weeks, I'm going to put together a webpage on my site so that people can meet Steph, and know why they would've loved her. I want to make it clear: these are rights and safeties being taken away from REAL PEOPLE.

“In 2015 the UK was placed top on the Rainbow Map…in 2024 it sat at fifteenth. With the deterioration in healthcare for trans youth I can’t see us maintaining even that position for long.” Her Name Is Alice Today we slip to 22nd overall. I’m surprised it’s not lower.

Steph loved this time of year. Every bloom I see, every cottony cloud streaking across the sky I stare up at, every beam of sun I close my eyes to and feel upon my face, I am surrounded by her. She didn’t deserve to feel that she couldn’t have any of it anymore. Protect trans people like her.

Casual reminder that there are awful examples of humanity in every community that you could think of. There are terrible people scattered amidst the doctors, teachers, heterosexuals, homosexuals etc, office workers, police officers, politicians, religious officials, carers, trans people, cis people.

Please join me at Trans+ Pride 2025 in London this year, on the 26th July. I’ll be going alone, but I’ll be there for Steph and the other voices who can’t be there to join with ours. londontranspride.org

115 days ago, this beautiful woman took her life. She was 36 years old - an avid gardener, a lover of crochet, endlessly creative and with the kind of charisma which fills a room. You only need look at her one-of-a-kind smile to want to know her, and I was lucky enough to love, and be loved by, her.

This is our Emily who has played for us for the past 3 years. She is super talented and we are super proud of her. It is criminal that as well as being barred by the FA from playing FA regulated football she didn't even get a notification.

stop covering trans healthcare bans as "culture war fodder"

Most celebrities: can't be damned to even talk about defending trans people David Tennant: turns a question that doesn't mention trans folks once into a clear, decisive message of support and explaining the true machine behind our current oppression

We have another progressive Pope. Cardinal Robert Prevost, the first American, is now Pope Leo the XIV. We can all breathe now. The Church will continue its path to inclusion.
