I have a working theory that your day is in flux until the moment you step out of day. Like you lock in some randomly selected set of conditions for the day the moment you leave the bed. It's the only reason I can explain everything suddenly sucking when it had just been pretty nice a moment before.

I've been making an effort to beat the author times in Zeepkist's Adventure Mode. A-24 gave me a lot of trouble resulting in me putting the game down for a bit. On an urge I started up the game again and nailed it on my third attempt. I can't wait to see just how much better I need to get.
