I’m part of a tea towel group project weaving on a counter-balance floor loom at our guild hall. Today was my turn to start weaving my tea towel using a zig zag twill pattern. Aiming to get it finished by early next week. 10” of 36” done today. #craftsky #weaving #weavingteatowels

Working on “Log Cabin Gingham Style Scarf”- pattern by The Rogue Weaver. Love the log cabin style knots. The black yarn is bamboo and the green/aquamarine yarn is tencel, giving it a nice sheen. #craftsky #weaving #rigidheddleloom #weavinglogcabin

I liked this activity the Potters Guild had at the Richmond Hill Maple Syrup Festival yesterday. They made a whole bunch of plaster of Paris letters spelling Canada and left them at their table with a bunch of markers for kids and adults to draw on and colour. #craftsky #canada #drawing

Veteran Legion 101 in Etobicoke in Toronto are celebrating their 70th anniversary this year, so they are preparing a special poppy installation for Remembrance Day in November. Our weavers guild are among the crafters crocheting poppies to use. I’ve made these so far. #craftsky # crochet #poppies

Yesterday I was the Burr House rigid heddle loom teacher, today I was back as a student! I’m part of a beginner floor loom group learning on a counter-balance floor loom. We were practising and sampling twill patterns today and will be making tea towels in the weeks to come. #craftsky #weaving
