They were also deeply embroiled in turmoil over who called all the shots. They pumped out A LOT of music in a short period of time and Fogerty alienated himself from the others. If you listen to “Mardi Gras” you can hear Fogerty saying ‘fuck it!’ and leaving the others to do the writing.
