Now playing in Wimbledon as part of its UK & Ireland tour, @cruelmusicaluk.bsky.social is an enjoyable evening full of 90s hits performed by a fantastic cast though this production does lack a bit of the magic from its London run. Here's my ⭐️⭐️⭐️ review: www.allthatdazzles.co.uk/post/review-...

The UK tour of Pride & Prejudice (sort of) continues with a stop at @richmondtheatre.bsky.social in a fresh take on the Jane Austen classic that is impossible not to fall in love with. Here's my ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ review: www.allthatdazzles.co.uk/post/review-...

The new episode of All That Chat is out now. Joaquin Pedro Valdes talks to me about Heathers, Death Note, The Lightning Thief & his 2 upcoming shows as well as this weeks hot topic of stunt casting. Plus reviews including Patti LuPone, KENREX & Richard II Listen at linktr.ee/allthatchat

Tonight's viewing - kicking off another busy week of reviews at @richmondtheatre.bsky.social for Pride & Prejudice (sort of) I loved this show when I first reviewed it in the West end in 2021 so can't wait to see it again tonight.

This week's All That Chat features a killer guest. Joaquin Pedro Valdes talks about his career so far and his 2 upcoming shows as well as the hot topic of stunt casting in a bumper episode. You'll be able to listen on Tuesday - listen to the first 3 episodes at linktr.ee/allthatchat

This week's theatre plans: Pride and Prejudice (sort of) @cruelmusicaluk.bsky.social The Last Laugh Back To The Future The Score What's everyone else seeing this week?

Celia Imrie and Tamsin Greig are fantastic as mother and daughter in 'Backstroke' at @donmarwarehouse.bsky.social though the writing never quite reaches its full potential, feeling muddled at times. Here's my ⭐️⭐️⭐️ review: www.allthatdazzles.co.uk/post/review-...

9 show week? Completed it mate. 7 shows to review and 2 for fun. 2 of them I think are the best shows of the year so far. 2 of them... not so much. What a full on but brilliant week. Love seeing so much theatre but I'm ready for a day to rest now before it begins again on Monday!

If you've been listening to the podcast, you'll know I like to talk about a different "Hot topic" with my guest each week. Are there any topics in particular you'd like me to talk about in future episodes? I'd love topics that can prove an interesting conversation or debate.

Today's viewing - it's been a long 9 show week full of some amazing shows. Finishing the week off with a return to one of my favourite theatres, @donmarwarehouse.bsky.social for 'Backstroke'. Look out for my review tomorrow.

The latest offering from Chris Bush 'Otherland' at Almeida Theatre beautifully asks what it means to be a woman with two simultaneous stories in a sensitive and intimate exploration that proves to be more than enough. Here's my ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ review: www.allthatdazzles.co.uk/post/review-...

The first 3 episodes of All That Chat are available on Apple, Spotify or wherever you get podcasts. Listen to chats with Tobias Turley, Lee Latchford-Evans and Rob Madge in insightful and funny conversations. New episodes released each Tuesday. Listen here: linktr.ee/allthatchat

Tonight's viewing - playing catch up tonight and tomorrow with shows I wasn't able to catch in this ridiculously busy week. First, it's 'Otherland' at Almeida Theatre. Pretty excited for this given who's written it. Look out for my review on the wedding this weekend.

'Much Ado About Nothing' at Theatre Royal Drury Lane is a Jamie Lloyd production like you have never seen before. Creative, refreshing and completely joyous, this is his best work in years and one of the best plays of the year so far. Here's my ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ review: www.allthatdazzles.co.uk/post/review-...

Tonight's viewing - show 7 of this 9 show week and my second Shakespeare in two days. At Theatre Royal Drury Lane for 'Much Ado About Nothing'. I'm obsessed already purely from the pre-show music. That's a good sign! Look out for my review tomorrow.

Jonathan Bailey is blisteringly good in 'Richard II' at @bridgetheatre.bsky.social though not every aspect of the production quite matches that level in an uneven watch. Here's my ⭐️⭐️⭐️ review: www.allthatdazzles.co.uk/post/review-...

Tonight's viewing - at Bridge Theatre for the first of 2 Shakespeare shows in 2 days for me. 'Richard II' starring someone called... Jonathan Bailey apparently. Look out for my review tomorrow.

For an upcoming episode of All That Chat, I'll be talking about swings, alternates and understudies in theatre and how vital they are. What are your general thoughts on this as a subject, and have you got any favourite or especially memorable examples of any you have seen?

This afternoon's viewing - it's a rare double show day on a weekday for me but I couldn't resist a return trip to The Devil Wears Prada to catch the amazing Debbie Kurup as Miranda Priestly. That's all.

Shakespeare goes nautical in the RSC’s new production of ‘Hamlet’. With an immaculately assembled cast, tremendous creative risks are taken with massive payoffs in this titanic, utterly triumphant production. Read @raphaelk0hn.bsky.social’s ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ review here: www.allthatdazzles.co.uk/post/review-...

An early contender for the best play of the year, KENREX at @swkplay.bsky.social is all killer, no filler. Refreshingly unique, its faultless genius production is effortlessly matched by the brilliance of Jack Holden's performance. Here's my ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ review: www.allthatdazzles.co.uk/post/review-...

The world premiere of 'East Is South' at Hampstead Theatre asks the question about the place of Artificial Intelligence in this world but, in doing so, has lost any sense of humanity in a play that proved cold and soulless. Here's my ⭐️⭐️ review: www.allthatdazzles.co.uk/post/review-...

Episode 3 of All That Chat with Rob Madge is out now. Find out what role in Mary Poppins Rob thought I'd be perfect for as well as this week's hot topic on fringe and regional theatres and reviews including &Juliet and If/Then Listen here: linktr.ee/allthatchat

Set completely in a luxury ladies toilet, brand new musical 'Stalled' enjoys its world premiere at the King's Head Theatre. Though full of potential and a great cast, it needs a lot more work if it wants to be flushed for success. Here's my ⭐️⭐️ review: www.allthatdazzles.co.uk/post/review-...

Second show of the day and one I didn't expect to be at until my last minute ticket a few hours ago. At the Coliseum to see the legendary Patti LuPone I'll drink to that!

Episode 3 of All That Chat is released this Tuesday and I can reveal my guest this week is the wonderful Rob Madge. Get ready for an insightful and hilarious conversation! In the meantime, catch up on the first 2 episodes here: linktr.ee/allthatchat

This week's busy theatre plans: Stalled East Is South Kenrex The Devil Wears Prada Richard II Much Ado About Nothing Otherland Backstroke Not done an 8 show week in ages! What's everyone else seeing this week?

The world premiere of 'The Passenger' makes the first leg of its journey at @finboroughtheatre.bsky.social with a bold and ambitious production far grander than its intimate surroundings. Here's my ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ review: www.allthatdazzles.co.uk/post/review-...

Anyone got any theatre plans this weekend? No shows for me today though I am recording a podcast with a favourite of mine. Tomorrow I'm at the @kingsheadtheatre.bsky.social for new musical STALLED.

A star cast take on Mike Bartlett's latest play 'Unicorn' fleshing out the story of a married couple looking for a third. Though it has some great moments, it struggles with feeling unfinished at times, proving anticlimactic Here's my ⭐️⭐️⭐️ review: www.allthatdazzles.co.uk/post/review-...

For an upcoming episode of the podcast, the hot topic will be stunt casting. What do you think of it in general? Has any stunt casting surprised you? Who have been your favourite or most memorable (make of that what you will) performances?

The first 2 episodes of All That Chat are now available wherever you get your podcasts. Listen to my chats with Tobias Turley and Lee Latchford-Evans here: linktr.ee/allthatchat And stay tuned for the episode 3 guest announcement. Who would you like to see on a future episode?

Episode 2 of All That Chat is now available. This week, Steps star Lee Latchford-Evans talks all things &Juliet and Here & Now plus a hot topic on jukebox musicals, and reviews including Oedipus, Inside No 9 and Elektra. Listen here: linktr.ee/allthatchat

Tonight's viewing - at the Savoy Theatre for 'If/Then' in concert. I have longed for this show to come to London since I saw it on Broadway 10 years ago so you can imagine how excited I am for this!

Episode 2 of All That Chat is out tomorrow and I can reveal this week I'm joined by Steps legend Lee Latchford-Evans talking all things &Juliet, Here & Now, jukebox musicals in general and of course Steps. Listen tomorrow at these links: linktr.ee/allthatchat

After rave reviews at Almeida Theatre last year, The Years transfers to the West End for a limited season at the Harold Pinter Theatre. Poignant, powerful and life-affirming, this beautiful show is even better than I remembered. Here's my ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ review: www.allthatdazzles.co.uk/post/review-...

Tonight's viewing - it's always an honour to be invited to the @whatsonstage.bsky.social awards. Excited to spend an evening celebrating an amazing year in theatre. #WOSAwards

A rare week where every single rating was used in our reviews. Some of our latest: Second Best - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Oedipus - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ...blackbird hour - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Antigone [on strike] - ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Figaro - ⭐️⭐️ Mrs President - ⭐️⭐️ Elektra - ⭐️ Read them all at www.allthatdazzles.co.uk/blog/categor...

This week's theatre plans: WhatsOnStage Awards If/Then @SavoyTheatreLdn Unicorn The Passenger Plus an exciting musical launch event and seeing the amazing Cyndi Lauper in concert. What's everyone else seeing this week?

Anyone got any theatre plans this weekend? I have a day indoors today but doing a few podcast things, then tomorrow I'm excited to go to the WhatsOnStage awards. Always a fantastic night!

For an upcoming podcast episode, I want to talk about Fringe and regional theatres. Why do you think they're so important and can the quality match a West End show? What are your favourite regional/Fringe theatres and any shows you have seen there?

Brie Larson stars in the UK Premiere production of this translation of 'Elektra' but some truly strange and confused choices makes this production a massive misfire. Here's my ⭐️ review: www.allthatdazzles.co.uk/post/review-...

Tonight's viewing - the second Ancient Greek play in as many days and the second major movie star. At the Duke of York's Theatre for the press night of 'Elektra' starring Brie Larson. Look out for my review late tonight/tomorrow morning.

For an upcoming podcast episode, I'm going to be talking about jukebox musicals and I want your takes on the topic. What do you think of them in general? What are your favourites and least favourites you've seen? Whose songs would you love to see in a jukebox musical?
