This is a vital message: one of the larger reasons BlueSky is refreshingly free of alt-right shitlords is because in the early days we made a gentleperson’s agreement to starve these fuckos out and it worked. No likes, no quotes, no engagement. They got bored and left. Please keep the Old Ways.

Althia Raj has some of the best reporting on Carney in the mainstream press. She calls Carney's Bill C-5 "unlike any piece of legislation we have seen in Canada federally." Bill C-5 will strip all checks and balances on development and extraction in Canada. Carney must be stopped.

Mark Carney is using an emergency, largely manufactured, to consolidate state power, including police surveillance and military; to ramp up deportations & xenophobia; to strip rights (including Indigenous); & to eliminate checks/balances on capital. There are so many historical parallels for this.

This is never an issue in issue in interlibrary loan. We will keep and reuse boxes long past When they should have died because "hey, it's a good size, it can do one more trip!" We also don't care what boxes we use, although we might have looked like alcoholics after we got hold of those vodka cases

I was a presenter on an AI unpanel through the university's Centre for Teaching and Learning on Thursday (did a quick provocation on AI in library cataloguing). This morning in a cafe the waiter looks at me and says "did you do an AI presentation this week?" Fame is a burden, but I bear it well.
