Something got into the nest and there was at least one casualty. The others either disappeared or were taken. I was so excited about this nest, then confined to the house because the robins wouldn’t let me be on the deck, and now it ends in death. It’s absolutely poetic at this point.

I love the blue jay squad in my neighborhood. They are always sounding the alarm when the hawks are around. Today they basically saved the robin’s nest I’ve been keeping an eye on.

Yesterday my body decided to have the same despair trauma response it had when I got fired more than a year ago so today I spent the day cleaning all of our rugs with my new carpet cleaner. It didn’t fix me, but now I can pretend my arms are sore from that and not from heavy anxiety.

Artoo is the sweetest perfect needy baby and I feel bad that the vet staff never get to see that. Instead they get to see him growl and hiss and fight them. 😂😅

When Artoo started getting sick, he kept to himself a lot and most interactions with Finkle were Fink wanting to wrestle and Artoo hissing. It’s nice to at least have the brothers back to sharing my lap. (Yes, Finkle is sitting on him a little. Artoo didn’t seem to mind.)

I crocheted 15 cardinal keychains for the Louisville women’s basketball team and was proud to deliver them on Sunday. Then I got super emotional Thursday during senior night. I love this team.

GAMA was exhausting and wonderful. So happy to see my friends and meet some new folks, all in the comfort of my hometown. I love my city and I loved sharing it with good people for the week. Gonna probably continue to be quiet online for a bit due to some stress and feelings, but this has helped.
