To help recover from the disruptions of the COVID-19 pandemic, NEH awarded grants to many museums, organizations and, yes, gardens! The Missouri Botanical Garden was able to preserve and provide access to thousands of bio-cultural artifacts, and create an exhibit on ethnobotany. shorturl.at/l7AMk

Today we thought we’d share some ACTUAL gardens we’ve funded in the past that didn’t require reallocating of funds (or creepy statues). In 2013, NEH helped fund the expansion of the Portland Japanese Garden. This kind of garden is one we would happily walk through. japanesegarden.org
