I've gone for a local ale this evening for my "on holiday" #notbeerbods Jail Ale from Dartmoor Brewery is reassuringly trad and authentically bitter. The glassware choice in my accommodation is slightly limited but doesn't impact enjoyment.

Why can't hotels, and other similar "places to stay" just say what their rate is for any given room on any given date and then ask their customers pay that rate. Why do we the customer have to hopefully find the "best deal" and feel like we have to do this against a false scarcity clock ? 1/2

My choice tonight for #notbeerbods is this Spaten Münchner Hell about which a quick search tells me Spaten brewed the first Münchner Hell in 1894. And the label features a malt shovel, the symbol of Spaten. All very interesting... It tastes sweeter than I expected and quite light for a hell . Nice.

It's a session pale in the form of Deepdale from Buxton Brewery on #notbeerbods tonight. Gluten free and 4.0% abv. I'd like to know the IBUs as it's feeling mighty bitter to me. I'd say it's just the right levels for a session, give me another. I'd probably have given it a 8.6792/10 in the old days
