We need more of this!

It's the time of year where you can swim through the underpass at Bank/Riverside. #ottawa #cycling

Introducing bike lanes is about creating transportation choice. When you give people safe choices, they can choose a bike for some trips, reducing congestion and reducing conflict between users. Leaders don’t need more evidence, we need to speak better to the public feeling of scarcity.

☠️☠️☠️

The modern conservative playbook. There is no need for the stated reasons to have any relationship with reality. The tariffs aren't about fentanyl and removing the bike lanes isn't about congestion. www.thestar.com/news/gta/for...

Canada needs dedicated passenger rail. “Tardiness is nothing new at Via Rail, but late arrivals are reaching historic levels in a key corridor since passenger trains have been forced to slow down at hundreds of rail crossings operated by CN Rail.” www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

Shocking, who would have thought that this would be a possible consequence of forcing cyclists and multi-tonne vehicles in the same lane? Never saw this coming at all /s #ontario #cycling

Quick, if we show this picture to Mark Sutcliffe he might advocate for it to be closed again!

Not very visually appealing, but at least it has an indoor waiting area, a rarity for downtown GO stations. Looking at you, Exhibition Station

Something seems sus 🧐

Maybe @ottawacity.ottawa.ca will get the hint eventually too...

@ottawacity.ottawa.ca is launching a consultation on the redesign of Riverdale Avenue in Old Ottawa South. Happy to see that two of the three proposed designs included separated cycle tracks. I frequently used Riverdale to cycle when I lived in OOS, and now use it to bypass Bank and go to the canal.

Would love to go on a bike ride with my partner sitting in there 🥹

#ottbike A thread about bike projects funded in budget 2025: To start off, One of my favourite projects, O'Connor Phase 2 is finally going ahead. This will connect the existing bikeway to Wellington St, from its current end point of Laurier.
