Ursula le Guin, on the accusation that fantasy is an escape from reality

Porch cat as Chair Cat.

Did I mention we made one of the cakes from B.Dylan Hollis's "Baking Yesteryear"? #CAKE

Here you go, something that is not insane. Sock progress. #knitting www.ravelry.com/patterns/lib...

What does one even say to this.

Another flower's worth on my sock.

It was SUNNY SUNNY SUNNY SUNNY SUNNY SUNNY SUNNY today. ...what. It's Michigan.

When he finally did start moving, all I could see was his turkey legs.

Maybe your timeline needs a REAL turkey instead of all these posers.

Relax everyone, he’s just trolling us…

And what the heck, I've always wanted these socks. www.ravelry.com/patterns/lib... So I'm knitting them.

My brother got the trout cowl I made him in the mail last night! #knitting

When they privatize everything, it isn’t regular people who win. It’s their friends and whoever does what they want. 🇺🇸 is not a business. The more we run it like one, the more we leave those with the least behind. www.washingtonpost.com/business/202...

April 2020, she's hanging out on the porch a lot more. She was actually watching wild turkeys just outside the fence when I took this, and turned to look at me like "You seeing this too?!"

October 2019, Porch Cat staring into the house waiting for the food to come out before I managed to trap her and take her in to be spayed.

This is the one and only photo I got of her in May of 2019 when she had three kittens. They were all three black with a white spot on the chest. Two were short-haired, one was long-haired but disappeared by July. She spent a lot of time hiding them and hiding herself.

She was still doing her own thing back then, wandering down the same path as foxes and coyotes.

Pretty sure this is Porch Cat on the trail cam back in February of 2018:

we don't have kings in America, but we DO have the Great Khan of the Midwest 🫡
