Social care deserves recognition and respect and it's time for policy makers to acknowledge its true value. Our charity already relies on fundraising to provide essential #socialcare for people living with #dementia in Wiltshire. We face a £200,000 cost hike from the budget, on top of £100,000 cut in commissioned contract this year. This is happening across the sector and is just not sustainable.

Thank you for sharing. We're a charity providing essential #socialcare to people living with #dementia in Wiltshire and are facing £200k hike in costs after the budget. We can't believe this was intended so let's hope there is a rethink asap

Our services include dementia advisers, one-to-one home support, small friendly day clubs and a network of singing, art, exercise and outdoors groups - plus support for family carers, talking groups and more. Everyone is different!
