My body still hasn’t recovered from Thursday’s storm… I just shovelled my banks down to half height so that there’s somewhere to pile tomorrow’s snow.

Here we go! >30cm on Ottawa’s doorstep

… this is dangerous

Great to be back in TO for a day 🥰

Check out the wind-driven snowballs on the Bay of Quinte earlier this week! Never seen so many #onwx @sailwicked.bsky.social

The cold weather outside has me thinking about sunnier days. Here are some landscape shots from our honeymoon in Greece that I hadn't gotten around to editing previously! This is Part 1 from Athens.

Chasecation photo #13. May 29. Levelland TX. Saving my favourite photo for last! After playing up close in the gorilla hail, I dashed far out in front of the storm to capture this mesocyclone + lightning combo

Chasecation photo #12 Another one from May 19th near Hays, KS.

Chasecation Photo #11. Another beauty from May 19th near Hays KS with @EhTeamChasers

Chasecation photo #10. May 29th Gorgeous supercell north of Levelland,TX. With @braydonmoreso.bsky.social and @Cole_Marvin98 . NWS had issued a warning for DVD-sized hail! The hailstones audibly whistled as they sailed by and pelted the dusty fields on each side of the photo.

Chasecation photo #9. May 25. Vici, OK. The supercell spawning on the dryline 30 minutes before the tornado in photo #8. I like this photo because it accurately captures the moment we took as a team to gawk at the crisp vault region (#TheEHTeam in the foreground)

Chasecation Photo #8 Seiling OK, May 25. A brief tornado spins up as the storm moved off of the dryline. This was during a moderate-risk day across Oklahoma, with an atmosphere primed for a tornado outbreak. We followed these storms for nearly 300 miles across the state. #TheEHTeam

Chasecation photo #7. May 24th. I had initially picked the wrong storm and finally caught up to this dying mesocyclone above the trees north of Dallas TX. This storm was tornado-warned for over an hour before sputtering out.

"Stormgasm's Tornadoes and Storms of 2024" is set to premiere at 9:00 AM EST this morning, January 10th. 1 hour and 46 minutes of extreme and beautiful weather from storm chasers Juston Drake and Simon Brewer: youtu.be/fkx3_qS9Z80?...

Chasecation photo #6. May 20th. Akron CO. The supercell quickly went HP-mode as its maturation accelerated. It eventually caused severe flooding in town and produced large hail. The precip shrouded any good views of the inflow region, but here's me wishfully waiting for a glimpse

Chasecation photo #5. May 20. Akron CO. Convoying with fellow Ontario chasers. We watched the birth of a beastly supercell from the same spot for nearly an hour. The CG barrage got closer and closer until they started hitting behind us. We knew it was time to shelter in the car

Chasecation Photo #4: May 19th. After the supercell near Hays, I dropped south to Great Bend KS for the oncoming derecho. It was very dry so the dust helped visualize the slightest air current. These were not confirmed as twin QLCS tornados, but rotation was obvious in the video.

#Ottawa just had its moistest year since records began. Mean Dewpoint was 4.0°C. #YowWx #OttWeather #OttNews #ONWx

Chasecation Photo #3: Still in Hays,KS. May 19th. After getting run over by a very strong RFD in Photo #2, I'll never forget the frequent lightning and rapid cloud movement on the mesocyclone's backside. This bolt overexposed the frame because a secondary fork struck closely to the right.

Chasecation Photo #2. Hays, KS May 19th. After photo #1, the vast majority of chasers continued east along I70 to see two dusty tors near Russell. Alternatively, I dropped south into the bear's cage of the newest circulation and watched this weird hybrid/landspout/gustnado "thing" by myself.

First photo from May 2024 Chasecation. This was just west of Hays on May 19th on the moderate risk day (derecho). The crispiness of this storm's inflow region was insane and didn't require much post-processing.

The second half of 2024 was busy with moving and fixing up our 1st home. Hosting Christmas for the first time was special ❤️ Now it’s time to get cozy and edit storm photos from Chasecation 2024 👀. This year I’ll be focusing hard on “local” chasing rather than abroad. Happy New Years everyone!

It’s cold and snowy and I’m craving the warm of field scented inflow and a storm in front of me.

Excited to be here!👋

It was possibly the coolest thing I’ll ever see with the naked eye

Tired of my #CapeDisappointment #Wa #wave photos yet? Well, one more to end the week! 🌊 Whatever you get up to this weekend, make waves & make it memorable! 🙌🏻 #ShareYourWeather #WAwx #PacificaNorthwest #PNW #PNWwx #SoPacificNorthwest #Lighthouse #BombCyclone #Pacific #Ocean #SkyWX #WXsky #weather
