Danish director Viggo Larsen is one of my favorite new discoveries. He worked in every genre but my favorites are his fresh and witty comedies. A NEW HAT FOR THE MADAM (1906) satirizes the craze for giant hats and hobble skirts as a fashionable woman terrorizes Copenhagen with her huge chapeau.
