I had my librarian friend choose the book I read to classes for Read Across America day… And she chose this book about a capybara who always does so much for her friends and the lesson the capybara learns is that she doesn't have to do all that to be loved. i feel… too seen

I know I already bragged about bananas, but my PTA VP and I just ordered the PERFECT amount of pizza for 30 kids and 4 adults. Like every child had as much as they wanted even up to 3rd slices but also not a SINGLE slice leftover.

Misinformation causes actual harm. So does divisive hate. Today I saw this in real time unfortunately with 4 of my sweet ten year old Girl Scouts who got accosted. They handled it so well and I HATE the conversations we had to have afterward.

My Dad put in 36 years in the NPS. Dad had to move us to make promotions, not easy at the time. But he loved his job, 1st in law enforcement then in management, & loved making a difference in each park he worked in. He did not get rich, but he kept us housed and fed. I’m proud of my Dad’s work.

Park Rangers do more than educate, they enforce laws related to safety, work to protect wildlife, aid in environmental conservation, aid in emergency response and more. These "Rangers" are the eyes and ears of our beautiful, diverse National Parks and deserve better

I’m glad we took a cross country road trip to many national parks 2 years ago. Park rangers are being fired. I’m thinking about the people who explained cave systems, meteor craters, the grand canyon, fossils & the painted desert to my child.

I was cookie boothing with my scouts this morning & my daughter leaned against me. I had my arm around her and I had one of those moments where you realize this little “nothing” of a moment is literally the best life gets. Nothing is better. I’m glad I noticed it.

I came into the school for musical rehearsal and the librarian saw me “I recommended a book to your daughter today because I wanted someone to talk about it with! I hope she likes it!” I walk into rehearsal to see my kid ignoring her friends, halfway through her book 😂

I am at a coffee shop waiting for a coaching client and a man was talking about how he is scared to fly and has a business trip this week and the woman meeting him responded “there have been so many plane crashes lately!!” Why. Why would you do this?
